Benefit claiming Mother of 8 cant pay the rent?

I no understand why the father/s are not made to pay in england..

Over here the father can be taken to court and made to pay...

they can here too, though it works better if they're normal working people with savings/income to make payments from

if the fathers are on benefits themselves or have questionable sources of income then there isn't going to be much for the child support agency to collect

A court order? So we're back to the SWAT team smashing her doors down again then....how else do you think court orders are enforced?

You think swat teams smash down doors for all court orders?

For this i imagine the simple follow up letter saying "if the procedure is not carried out by X date without valid reasons for the delay all benifit payments will be ceased"

That's not how the police work. Do you always take everything to insane extremes?

A warrant can be served for her arrest. Benefits stopped. Children removed from her care.

then her benefits stop until she attends

So now you have 9 more homeless people, 8 of which are children (meaning we would have to change numerous other laws that prevent children from becoming homeless because giving them another home would defeat the point of your other policy wouldn't it?).

Have you thought this through?

The horse has already bolted with the kids already here. It's not just about this woman. It's about people in general, stopping them from having any more when they can't care for what they already have.
She's already unable to keep a roof over their heads, they may well end up in care already. It could, sadly, be better for them.
Plus let's face it, she goes for the treatment and none of that happens. She doesn't go and she's therefore a neglectful mother so let's get the kids with parents who can provide for them.

I'm not taking anything to extremes, the Police can use force to enforce a court order and they do. If she ignores the court order and doesn't leave her house do you think a policeman will just wait outside until she does like she's Julian Assange in the Iranian Embassy or something?

Here's what you see on a weekly basis if your law was introduced...

You'd be happy seeing women carted off for court ordered sterilizations on a regular basis would you?

It's also rather ironic than someone who is advocating a China-style attitude to child birth is having a pop at me for 'taking things to the extreme'

So you're suggesting we just let people pop out children that they can't care for then? And have other people pay the price for that? You think that's acceptable.

Forced entry is a last resort. An extreme. People with warrants are picked up more often than not on the street or without their doors being kicked in.

Again if this person cares about their kids then they'd willingly go for the treatment. No?

Of you don't submit to a forced medical procedure, your children will be punished.

it is a pretty small price to pay in a civilised society.

Not having kids you cannot provide for is an even smaller one. It's free.

You know, if they want to continue to live in a civilised society where benefits can be provided for those who truly need them through no fault of their own.

Go for the procedure and there's no problem is there?

Don't go for it and you force another child to live in poverty and face potential hardship, health issues and mental anguish if they're taken from you.

I know which one is the sane option.

No but I'm massively against against court orders and forced sterilizations of citizens. You're making it sound black and white when there are a thousand shades of grey.

But if the options are the current system or forcing citizens to undertake intrusive medical procedures at the State's behest I'd pick the former in a heart beat. Call it the lesser of two evils if you like.

It's not intrusive. Unless you count vaccinating children intrusive?

It's also very black and white, either you can provide an adequate level of care for your children, or you can't. It's that simple. This woman can't even put a roof over their heads.

Because enforced sterilization and vaccination are so similar

So at what level of income will the state allow you to have your first child?

Do you mass sterilize all school children when they hit puberty until they pass the income threshold?
