Is Division game DX12?

Read the Computerbase numbers again. At 1080p a the Fury X is 5% faster than the overclocked 980 where as a 980ti is only 14% faster.

But go up to 4k, the Fury X is 9% faster than a reference 980ti and only 6% slower than a £100 more expensive than it heavily overclocked 980ti and a 980 non ti is absolutely no where near it.

Afaik the computerbase is the worst showing for the Fury X and yet it still beats the 980ti at 4k by close to 10%. Other places show significantly.

At 4k the Fury X is killing it hard.

Minimums would be interesting in more than one review. AMD certainly made some design choices, they went low on rops, high on shaders. So 'easy' scenes they can be top frame rate pumping out limited but minimums they become shader limited and should have higher minimums which is often seen... probably more so as DX12 becomes more prevalent as has already been seen.

the gamegpu results, which you didn't really highlight, showed Fury X ahead of the 980ti at all times. nvidia appears to be winning where it does because people enable an Nvidia optimised shadow option which IMHO doesn't look good(only used it in GTA 5 and wasn't the best option and certainly not IQ improvement worthy of the performance hit taken) and very clearly has a significantly higher hit on AMD than Nvidia.

I only looked at the lower resolution figures, had a look at the Fury X numbers at higher resolution - it is not too bad at all!

But honestly the R9 380X is doing really well - they have gone as low as £170 to £180,so in terms of value for money they seem pretty good for this game.

My GTX960 seems to have been given a right trampling in it! :(

Edit!!

Added Sweclockers results to my previous post in the thread.

Shame about the major flickering that Crossfire is causing :(

Same as TW3 issue? Isn't that still occurring after 5/6 months??

flickering; or possibly hardware damaging drivers? I'm pretty sure I know which I'll pick ;)

New driver from AMD asap; I'll be picking this up friday most likely; but doing videos on new ESO DLC; and BSO just released; my son wants PvsZGW2 :D and a few other things......ugh need more money

It's good to see a release from Ubisoft that went through a series of ground level beta tests to ensure a relatively good release (an excellent release when compared to some). I haven't bought the game yet but I played the most recent Beta and experienced no issues so I will buy it at some point. It's also good too see the AMD cards doing well across the range.

Just wanted to add in here that in genuinely impressed with the graphics on The Division and it runs brilliantly with no crashes in game, and it's ubisoft! (Lol)

Single 980Ti overclocked can't handle everything up max at 2560x1440 very well. But once you knock the post AA to medium and use ultra shadows as opposed to nVidia's tech that hammers FPS, it's runs at acceptable FPS.

I'm level 9 at the moment, if any of you are picking this up soon or currently playing it, add me: PWee_Yaayuh

i found knocking volumetric fog from high to medium and particles from ultra to high had virtually no effect on IQ but noticeable improvement on FPS, I also turned off Depth of field as i hate this effect anyway and it costs performance but only 2-3 FPS at most.

Just a couple of settings id suggest playing with to squeeze out more performance with minimal to virtually no IQ loss.

I hope Ubi do some performance updates as for no reason in certain parts it's running great and then the frames drop to the single digits and then back up again.

Let's be honest if Ubisoft had released another "Watchdogs" then they would never have sold another game....ever!!

Glad everyone is enjoying it. What does everyone think of the content of the game so far? Is it enough to keep it going for quite a while or is everyone getting through it quite quickly?

:)

EDIT:- Just read Gregs review and watched video. I am sorely tempted to get this.... Oh Greg your voice reminds me of Terry Doe from Airgun World/Airgunner magazine. LOL Just thought I'd let you know. :D

I only play this with an old friend as we like co-op games together, really enjoying it and cannot complain about the content or graphics performance. Thouroughly worth it imo.

Not sure how hooked i would be if it was only single player or if i had no mates though ;)
