Can anyone quote a normal delivery from Google is I placed an order today for instance?

Says "Dispatched from warehouse in 1-2 business days" so unlikely to have it for the easter break to have a play

Also does it support ee wifi calling

Thanks guys

I wanted a bigger screen and a more 'pure' Android experience without faffing about. Also, the phone was nice but at the same time seemed very tacky but I can't really explain why I felt that way.

I know the feeling, I was very close to getting an S7E, but TW, the Samsung logo on the front and a few other reasons made me decide to keep the 6P.

Not to mention we'll have N long before anyone else. :D

The main issue with Samsung is the amount of junk that they pre-install. There is just so much of it.
I was given a Galaxy Tab S2 at work recently and it was just awful. It lagged and the battery life was shocking. After disabling no less than 150+ packages it actually performs OK now.

I just don't understand why - when Google provides an excellent mobile OS in Android out of the box - Samsung feel the need to utterly cripple it with their crappy software.

I will NEVER buy a non-Nexus device again.

I hear you on storage sucking bloat apps. If they just made them Uninstallable!

Performance and battery life is sorted on the S7 though.

For me it isn't really about the bloat or look now as with the themeing system etc. Touchwiz isn't so bad.... What kills it completely is the time it takes for updates, the GS 6 only really started getting the MM update a week or so ago lol.... And for any future android updates, you will be lucky to get another update and if you do, it will be an even longer wait.

At least they have it in a size you want :p

Hi Guys

Any good Spigen cases and maybe screen protectors used by you guys?

Thanks

I have both the Spigen rugged armor and slim fit case. Both good cases in my opinion, and the only thing that bugs me about the slim fit is that it leaves the glass over the camera exposed, whereas the rugged armor covers the whole back (and sides).

I've also got the Spigen tempered glass protector - does the job, easy to install. Much better than a cheapo one I intially got when I first got the phone!

Good shout, thanks for the comment on the screen protection with the armoured case, will order both tonight :)

One thing to bear in mind with the screen protector is that there is no protection above the top speaker and below the bottom speaker - it's only about 1cm at both ends and is directly above and below the speaker holes.

I have seen some tempered glass protectors that cover the whole screen with proper cut outs for the speakers and prox sensor. I think the MediaDevil is like that and has also got decent reviews.

I ordered my Pixel C last week, and the keyboard this week... both arrived in just under 24 hours. Not sure on the phones, but I'm assuming if they've stock, it'll be pretty much the same.

No on the EE WiFi calling... only the handsets direct from them support it, even with the Nexus phones.

EDIT: ordered one of the Google USB C chargers this morning, that's been picked up by ParcelForce and is flinging around now... possibly Saturday delivery, otherwise Tuesday. I think.

Touchwiz is hideous if you've ever used a pure android phone you'll never go back!

That's simply not true. I went Note 4, Nexus 6, Note 5. Very happy. As Kona says, it's not that bad these days. Stick a material theme on it and use Nova and it's not that different.

TouchWiz is pretty decent nowadays if you take into account how bad it used to be during the S3 days - no idea how bad it was before!

The Note4 that I have passed onto my parents, I kid you not is as smooth as my 6P in use and for some odd reason feels better to type on. Granted there is a ton of knox/samsung account related bloat underneath but it doesn't seem to have much of an impact on performance.

I smile everytime I pick up the Note4 to do some maintenance on because it very smooth in use.

Well it is true as I'm.basing it on my experience and opinion. ;)

However I concede that it may be a lot better now as last time I used touch wiz was on my S3 before I went to a Nexus 5.

Still, the fact you have to change it to make it better kinda proves my point. :)

But if we're being pedantic, you were telling someone else once they've done stock Android etc... not 'since I've done...' :)

Also, I have to change stock Android to make it better. You sound like a iPhone user tbh :p

**EDIT** Maybe that last comment is a little harsh. I think it was the WinPhone users that were saying 'because you have to install something, it doesn't count and Android is no good'.

I'd be very wary of the spigen tempered glass screen protector.. The cases are great but the screen protector is awful. Doesn't protect the full screen, isn't particularly rounded and comes off easily. Read the reviews on Amazon for more info.
The Minotaur is both cheaper and better.

Went for the media devil in the end and spigen armoured case as I've had a spigen on my iPhone 6 for a year and it's been faultless:)

On another note as its good Friday my 6P is sat at a sorting office in the next town :( damn it ....

Still at least it will be here tomorrow for me to setup and have a play :D

Recommended C USB cables chaps?

Just about to order case, screen protector etc

Thanks

I ordered some adapters from the rainforest that convert your everyday micro USB cables to USB-C then you just need to carry the one cable and just remove the adapter if you need to charge a micro usb device.... ;)
