Any religion that forces prayer 5 times a day, nil by mouth fasting for a month, the haj, enforced giving to muslim charities, restricted diet, sexist laws and rules is literally extreme.

You just have to accept that these groups are very different and extreme compared to westerners and that's before you get onto their beliefs about other muslims and infidels etc.

My stance is that most religions straddle that border but islam is well over the line in thoughts, actions, teachings etc.

You're paraphrasing and taking my quote out of context. The section you've quoted is to do with the Russian nationalist party which is a political party, it is not a global movement or global religion so it has nothing to do with me on a religious or political basis.

Although I'm obviously mostly concerned with the terrorist attacks that happen in the UK and Europe, this issue is global. Muslims are global, and this issue is global, so Muslims from all over the globe that aren't nut jobs and want peace should be leading the fight against this. For the likes of zethor, yourself and others that say we, the self loathing westerns whose efforts are never good enough should be doing more to integrate these people in western society; answer me this - how will integration help stop al shibab, Isis, boku harram and the dozens of other malitia terrorist groups whose numbers are in the hundreds of thousands. These groups are carrying out atrocities in the name of Islam. They are not carrying out atrocities because they didn't have enough 'integration.' The home grown Muslim extremists in Europe are followers, supporters, extensions of these groups.

All of the comments saying why should Muslims apologise, nobody is actually saying they should apologise, but what people are waiting for is for them to actively stand up for their religion. If all these people slaughtering innocent people in the name of Islam aren't true Muslims, you would expect peaceful Muslims to be in absolute uproar trying to protect their religion from the bad name that these people are giving it.
