*** The Official Xbox One Thread ***

My power supply is quite noisy in standby, is this normal? A whining noise.

There are different internals to the XO PSU bricks, I've had at least 2 different ones.

In my case the "whining" in standby was actually the small fan spinning, this particular design placed it too close to the casing and it led to some sort of weird pressure noise, moving the fan away slightly stopped it completely.

It's by no means advisable, but it actually led me to running my PSU with the top part of it's casing off, not a problem as it's hidden away from any potential danger, bit still not ideal.

Ah thanks, I also find the connection from lead with the plug to the brick to be sloppy. Nothing like the 360 kettle lead that was secure. I knocked the brick by mistake and the lead came adrift.

Seriously thinking about buying a console for the first time in my life..

Always been PC gamer on and off but would like a console to play on a big screen TV and some split screen action with the family.

Was leaning towards the Xbox due to familiarity and elite dangerous. But do they have anything planned for the vr? I see Sony is releasing a vr headset for the ps4.

Xbox One and PC always seems an odd combination to me when 90% of the Xbone games are on PC. Better off getting a PS4. :p

But to answer your questions, Elite Dangerous is supposedly coming to PS4 sometime and MS have no plans for a VR headset.

Hmm want elite now not next year. VR is interesting though plus they making no man's sky on ps4 not xbox

Fetching my son an Xbox one today. My profile is a primary on my friends console so he can download the games I've bought for free, can I also do this on my sons Xbox aswell as my mates?

If not is there another way around it other than taking my profile off my mates Xbox?

Make your son's Xbox the "home" console with your account on it, give your son his own account and he can play your games, but your friend would have to sign in as you on their console to play your games, assuming you were ok with that. There's no way to have both play your games without at least one of them signing in as you.

Pretty much the same as me, never got into consoles but got an Xbox for the same reasons as you with split screen gaming on Battlefront, Halo etc with wife.

ok, I my xbox one just updated itself with the March update and now I can see xbox 360 games in the marketplace and on the games with gold screen.

Never mind!!
