I must admit I found the demo scene interesting when I had an Amiga 500 and it's still impressive to see what people can achieve nowadays. It's not "my thing" anymore but I can see why some people still like it.

Indeed.

That Dolar demo is fairly impressive, reminds me of the demo's of the day with the music and presentation. Oddly enough one of the podcasts I listen to, the retro hour, had of the guys in the scene on last week. The guy was part of the flt group back in the day, fascinating insight on how and what it was.

I loved the Amiga demoscene.

The first demo I watched was 'World of Commodore' on the A500.

My favourites were Kefren's Desert Dream, Jesus on E's and 9 Fingers.

I recently set up my A1200 with the Compact Flash card setup and I've ordered the ACA1221 expansion. As I think I've broken my existing expansion card.

There's an Amiga event happening in Swindon on Saturday, 7th May at Cheney Manor.

On another note, I was suspended for 24 hours off twitch, twice, for (non profit) back to back streaming of Amiga demos, some thing about violating the music channel terms, yet they were being streamed in the games and demos section. So I don't bother with that **** corporate site any more.

Some of the 4, 8, etc. Kbyte intros were good but the PC demos seemed a bit meh compared to the amiga stuff.

I was always a big fan of The Silents and especially the music of Jesper Kyd. He went on to big things and now writes the music for a lot of AAA titles.
