Greed on the bay

If people are willing to pay £380 for a second hand £420 card then that's what they should sell it at. The people selling them are not 'greedy', they are just selling for the going rate.

Would you lower the price of a graphics card you're selling for some random faceless stranger on the internet?

Oh.

if you don't like the going rate for second hand gear and would rather buy new as you feel it is worth paying that little extra then go ahead and do that instead of calling people greedy for not selling cheap enough so you can save some money

£400 before xmas - exchange rate probably changed since then and that's why.

Sounds more like OP being greedy, wanting to pay less than the current rate.

It shouldn't be about current rate,Its about getting a fair price, what's the point of second hand if Its nearly the same price as new.

Selling fees are way to much I know, but people shouldn't be taken advantage of.

You pay more on ebay, but you're pretty much guaranteed a working product or your money back, for quite a while after buying. I have bought a couple of things from the MM that have died not long after buying and there is nothing I can do about that, so kind of wish i'd just paid a bit more and bought from ebay.

Everyone seems to be missing the point. I've seen similar things, it's annoying and isn't supply and demand because the people in question never seem to sell anything. You just get dozens of listings at near retail for products which simply do not sell. They are there for week after week. It's most bizarre.

Something's hold it's price well. And I don't see the issue in the op.

The ones I don't get are the ones who relist stuff about 4 times with no interest and won't even contemplate an offer. You might as well sale for 50% of what you want. Then never sale it.
