Caught on CCTV: Moment woman attacks member of the public

I watched the video.
He looked to be leaving.
Then the chap at front of car said something, which made him go off on one.
Then she pushed him back, and out of the way, he looked to be getting in the car, she swung, missed, and he clocked her, just once.

I am not convinced he wouldn't get off on self defence.
Is he not allowed to park there? Just from a legal POV. Was his parking illegal or not?

The more I think about it the less I even think the guy was an idiot to be honest, we've all parked some where we probably shouldn't if we're just nipping to a cash point or something which it looks like he was and from the off those 2 bound out of the shop with some pretty aggressive looking body language and gesturing.
They then attack him with no reaction from him apart from trying to get out of the situation and get in his car, she then takes a swing and his natural self defence reaction kicks in and puts her on her backside.

It's all well and good sitting at your desk saying he should have just pushed her, but having been in situations like that you don't stand and consider your options you defend yourself.

tbh she takes a big swing at him he does some little reaction jab.

cant blame him.

if this had been some Burberry clad chav that had swung first the title would have been "chav gets what he deserves when he tries to assault member of the public"

Calm down shell suit boy, just cause you love a bit of Sunday granny bashing. :D

I imagine that bit of land is part of the shop and therefore it's private land and a completely civil matter.

Don't be silly there's none around on Sundays, it's all about popping into town on my midweek lunch breaks. Fresh(or not so fresh in this case) meat everywhere.

If someone small and frail threw a pathetic punch at me in an argument that missed miserably I would judge whether they could take one back before throwing one in return, some people just look as though one punch would take their head off.

Not everyone is as restrained as everyone else though granted.

I don't like how she is portrayed as an innocent victim though when she escalated things.

DM are just using the shock value to get people to read the article. No surprises there.

she got everything she deserved imo

she attacked someone leaving a situation which resulted in the guy retaliating in a way that looks instinctual rather than in any way thought about, he then removes himself from the situation as it looks like her partner attempts to drag him out the car.

wonder how much the daily mail paid her?

I wonder if the next twist will be that the husband racially abused him there prior to the wife taking a swing at him...

They're all idiots but Mr Tracksuit is a scumbag.

Due to the tracksuit? Due to the fact he parked somewhere private that he maybe shouldn't? Due to the fact he's been attacked by an over-zealous couple of people? Due to the fact that he retaliated to being attacked whilst trying to leave the vicinity?

What about any of it makes him a scumbag?

People have done time for attacking burglars trying to leave the property, it's clear to see he's trying to get out of there so why isn't it the attackers that are the scumbags?
