**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

So after deciding I needed to replace my Z3 earlier, I may have got a bit impatient this evening and ended up in the local Carphone Warehouse buying a sim free S7E.

Touchwiz is certainly a million times nicer to use then when I last used it on a S4! Just playing around with the phone this evening, and really liking it so far. Hopefully not just a honeymoon period and I'm not going to regret coming back to Samsung rather than going for the Nexus 6P ;)

Any must have accessories for this? And are the Zagg screen protectors the best option right now?
 
Took the plunge!

What are people doing about battery percentage? The way it's implemented is poor and the text/font looks out of place when display percentage is enabled. It just gets me :p

Any apps that can put an icon I the top right of the notification bar?

Thinking of upgrading to the S7 flat at some point this year. Those of you who bought this sim free does it lock to the first network or not?

I purchased the sim free s7 flat and use it with Bt mobile, just tried a giffgaff sim and it was fine.

It won't be as quick as the Samsung one, anything which says it is 10W is the slower type. 15W is the new faster standard.
 
I just applied a Screen Knight screen protector as well as a back protector to my S7 Edge. Its a wet install one, so I've still got a ton of water bubbles, which it says will disappear in 24-48 hours. I'll keep you guys informed on my progress.

Other than that, I'm happy I went with gold, such a nice colour, and not too chavvy, its like a dull bronze, which looks great, a nice change from the usual black phones I've had in the past.
 
I put a screen protector on the edge today, it was a pain in the rear to fit! The case raises the corners a bit and I don't like the feel of it. Will see how long it lasts!
 
My Quidco cashback from Argos has just tracked at £56.99, making it £513 for the phone. Happy with that as they'd said the cashback would only be paid on the ex-vat amount :)
 
My cheapo screen protector is still hanging on in there but the corners have lifted. The best one I have had was on my Z2, that one is still on there now after two years and a dunking in the sea a few times.
 
Samsung fast charging stand is on its way for tomorrow. Looking forward to comparing it against the fast charging base from last year!
