**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I went & had a play with one today & it's very very nice.

But I couldn't get on with the edges. If only they'd made the S7 5.5" now that would have been one hell of a phone.

As it is I'm gonna pass & keep my Note 5.

But as I said, it's a very very nice phone & I'm sure you guys will have great fun with yours.

I like the Google app as it has in-line local business searching, but I do this anyway via Google Now and can call directly from the buttons in the results. I prefer the Material dark theme on the Samsung dialler though, and the way it groups call logs to the same number in one list whereas the Google one does not.

Still, the choice is open, which is nice. Also there’s a Samsung Good Lock app in galaxy App store whereby you can get the stock Android notification icons and toggles. It’s in early stages, but looks like Samsung is slowly transitioning Touchwiz to be considerably more customisable than any other OEM. Want a stock Nexus-like look and feel of your Samsung? Perhaps this will soon be a reality.
 
Received my Spigen s7 Edge Neo Hybrid Crystal in Gold today. I like it matches the phone perfectly and seems to be well made. It does add abit of width to the phone though which is very noticeable when holding.

Currently on 2 days 1 hour, with 3 and half hours screen time, and still have 32% battery left. Screen brightness is set to auto, and I've turned off always on as I'm pretty sure it kept disabling itself when I was in a VR world.

(edit: add to that the speed at which it charges, much faster than the Z2, its like i'm never seeming to actually charge this thing. An hour and a half of charging every 2 and a half days. Or half an hour of charging gets me a full 24hrs of phone use)

Likewise, still happy, Not found any faults with it , love the battery life and charging speed! Camera is impressive too.

Looks smart and works well through the Spigen Neo Hybrid case. At its current rate of charge, I estimate it would take around 3.5 hours to complete a charge from empty.

Going naked is too much of a risk on a device of this value. I'd say the Edge is even more at risk of damage after a drop, that curved screen whilst lovely looking, is just so exposed.

Fair enough if you want to roll the dice though.
 
Gonna take my case off in due course. But for now it'll stay on till I either get bored of it. Or the phone. :p out tomorrow night too, and I usually drop my phone if I've had a few jars :D
