***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Do you guys know if Lego Shop/Amazon etc do good deals on Star Wars Lego on May the 4th each year? I was watching am unboxing video from last year and the youtuber commented that he got really good deals on that particular day so was wondering if this the norm?

The Lego Store do May the 4th deals I think, but as with most of their sales, all it does it bring their prices down to what you would normally pay anywhere else anyway.

It's normally on the figure that might make it worth it. Everyone else does May the 4th deals that are better. The only reason to but from there is for bonus stuff, but you pay over the top for it. Or for the £270 models you can't really get discounted elsewhere.

Kind of what I suspected already as the sets I'm looking at are discounted quite nicely on Amazon at the moment and figured that any sort of discount from Lego Shop at home would be around the same sort of figure.

I guss the only other bonus of using the Lego shop is the VIP points?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Well considering the age they are now and the fact they are worth £60 he's hardly going to become a millionaire

The box with just the figures in sold for £120 on eBay last month, still won't make me rich, but every little helps, lol

The Wife and me had a mammoth Lego Build over the weekend...

First thing was to sort the £70 of random Lego I bought last year into colours... Then find the parts... We've still tonnes left, and loads of models we don't have instructions for (which I'm grabbing off line!!)

Maze box is surprisingly large and heavy with more pieces than expected! Suppose it has to accommodate the base plate it all goes on, but I was expecting it to be smaller for some reason :o

Just opened the wardrobe in the spare room while putting away some washing and remembered the Bennie's Spaceship and Imperial Shuttle models that are stashed in there because I'm banned from building them yet :(

If I did build them there would be nowhere to put them anyway. I've got a massive box full of models I already have no room to display.

New house soon, then shelves, then its building time! :D

The amount of sets on offer these days is astounding. I'm a bit disappointed that there are so many with "custom" pieces which are only designed to be used in that set. I can still remember my first Lego set , It was Black bricks, with green glass and an astronaut, some sort of moon buggy. Would love to find it and replace it as the bits have been lost over the years.
