about 2 week ago I've been getting graphic issues, at first i thought it was a driver issue due to me upgrading to 16.3, so then i tried downgrading to the driver i was on before but that didn't make any difference.

it happens randomly when it's siting on the desktop, etc. and in some games such as dragon age: inquisition, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and others also..

is it worth me trying to RMA to ocuk? if so any idea how long it'll take because i don't have another card to use and what would happen as there's no more 290x.

Have you tried a different connection port on the graphic card and using a different cable, just to rule our the possibility of faulty port or cable?

As for RMA, if it is still within warranty, I would imagine you would get either a 390 or 390x as replacement...as they are essentially same card as 290/290x but with more memory.

It can take up to 28 days, so you'd probably have to stick with using the Intel onboard GPU during that time.

i know it's not the DP cable as it's a new one and has been working fine,

the driver crashs when it happens.

i will try it in a different PCI-E slot

Think you can stick the card into another PC just to rule out driver issue?

Also when you say you rolled-back the driver to previous version, what steps did you take?

i just tried it in a different slot but it still happens. i don't have another pc to try it in.

i reinstalled windows 10 from a image which had no graphic driver installed

Looks like it is on its way out. Try underclocking, see if it goes away. If it does, then you know the card cannot maintain the clock speed no more. Seen this happen before, so worth a try. If the case, get it replaced.

They should give you a 390x I would imagine if no 290x available. That is pretty much like for like, but at least you get the extra vram for your troubles.

tried underclocking it to 600/700 but it still happens.

on Wednesday i borrowed another card (390x) for a short time and that works fine. so i know 100% the card is faulty.

i have a rma from ocuk so i'll be sending it back... hope it won't cost too much for P&P.
