Distance selling regulations for a business

Is there any reason why you can't remove broken parts from both items and make 1 good one? You have paid for a working item and you would have one.

Their problem to collect the rubbish?

And if through user error both become unusable he now has lots of rubbish and no way to send it back as he has tampered with it.

I take it that offer was made on the assumption they were dealing with a private individual rather than another business.

My guess is they originally thought it was an individual then someone high up looked at the issue when the OP became aggressive and they said hold your horses pal, he bought it as a business, so all bets are off.

They knew who they sold it to and regardless, why should that matter?

The OP still has it in writing (I'm assuming he got email notification of the support ticket updates) that they are going to collect the items.

Regardless, sounds like the issue is sorted as he is now getting his money back via the bank.
