Perhaps, but the way it's portrayed makes it seem horribly biased. There are just as many 'experts' who say being outside of the EU is positive.

Yep and, nevermind ^as Freakbro said. Unless you're expecting/advocating leave leaflets to cite reasons to stay in as well?

The shenanigans with the Royal Mail not delivering them is kinda funny, since it was EU rules that dictated we had to open up RM to unfair competition and eventually privatise it. Oddly these rules don't seen to apply to La Poste or Deutsche Post.

Oh dear :o.

Is that because they have already been privatised in 2010 and 1995 respectively :o

FACT CHECK: La Poste is ~75% owned by the French government, ~25% owned by a French financial organisation ... which is controlled by the French government. Source.

So once again it seems your criticism of us being treated differently/unfairly by the EU are unfounded

You were saying :o

That their postal system has been opened up to private competition in 2005 yes? (Which is the thrust of the EU directive) And that they are aiming to sell the shares just as we did yes? :o

And no rebuttal of your Deutsche Post claim? :o

A two main reasons:

1. Storage. You don't want to store that many leaflets. It's more efficient to send them out as they're printed.
2. Delivery capacity. Mostly delivery capacity from the printers to Royal Mail rather than Royal Mail's capacity.

Just employ some immigrants to write them up an hand deliver them, benefit of being in the EU right?

Why's it more efficient to send them out as they're printed, rather than storing? They take up a chunk of warehouse space, but then the alternative is a (possibly) less efficient transportation pattern. Also, do you know they weren't sent out to the Royal Mail like that, with them then all being delivered by the Royal Mail at about the same time? Why does the storage ball ache outweigh the staggered delivery ball ache? Do you know/have expertise in this field, or are you guessing?

I don't think that this discussion is relevant to the EU referendum. Yes, I have experience in this field through work and hobbies. I'm no expert but this is hardly expert-level operations theory.

Storage is expensive. Hiring 100 delivery trucks for one day is more expensive/harder to manage than hiring one truck for 100 days.

They didn't need to hire a single truck... conveniently the Royal Mail can collect and take to whichever regional centres they have. And storage is expensive if you go out and have to pay for it, but if you already have a mahoosive warehouse at your print works, or use storage Royal Mail already have, it's cheap.

You don't have any experience in this area, do you? Judging by your use of Royal Mail and the word conveniently in the same sentence, I'm guessing not. :p

Yeah but as usual the French have been "cunning" and made sure that they've implemented a level playing field, meaning it's impossible to compete with La Poste. I dunno too much about the situation in Germany but I imagine it's the same - I note that Deutsche Post has been able to expand through acquisitions while Royal Mail has seen large parts of its profitable business made opened to unfair competition.

Just before the vote the oaps will be told they'll be worse off outside the eu.
They are not stupid the grey voters are in their crosshairs.

The eu is a race to the bottom here where i live in london so many jobs that used to pay a semi decent wage are now ALL minimum wage.

The eu in a nutshell is uk must pay for eu workers kids.

Example eu migrant with 5 kids earning 20 k year gets 35k a year that's right THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS given to them on top of their wages courtesy of the uk tax payer.

Is it any wonder they are all dying to work here when they can get a huge salary for a low end job.

Single people without kids are not as big a problem but when you start introducing kids we give them huge in work top ups.

I wonder how many migrants are claiming for kids that don't even exist.
