I have changed my vote from Leave to Remain.
Why?
Well... I still think leaving is the right thing to do for all the usual reasons given... but I think we'll make a pig's ear of it -- so if you believe leaving won't go as well as it should, it makes remaining more attractive.

Stupid logic. Vote for what you want and what will be will be.

Ok Who's fault is it that the government pays 35K to these people? There is no EU law that I know of forcing the UK to make these payments.

It's the UK that's decided to allow minimum wage topped up with tax credits etc. Change that and the influx becomes a trickle. Oh wait Cameron already has negotiated that part. :p

The other side of the coin is that the UK has benefitted from some of Eastern Europe's brightest minds without having to pay any of their educational costs.

I'm sure he can get more as other countries populations are also crying out for more nationalism.
During the referendum they wanted to limit benefits to foreigners with kids but were told it was not allowed. You haven't even got past the referendum if there is no law you are aware of.

Wed benefit from EU citizens anyway as we're not discussing the end of all migration so that is not a plus point in the EU's books by any measure. Sadly the EU has just been a hampering to the initial idea of free movement and trade. After that they basically muddled with too much, became too federalist and restricted our own laws such as limiting child benefits payments. Who knows if they'll even honour the stuff we already negotiated as well.

Just listening to Boris, omg, he is using every facile euro myth in the book

He just brought up the 'EU telling us how powerful our hoovers, and how bendy bannanas, can be' rhetoric

Unfortunately it's going to be lapped up by his moronic supporters

Haha was you watching it on Sky News?

Must admit I was clapping like a happy seal :D I honestly believe If he chose to campaign for remain it would be game over, he's just got a knack of getting people on board

BBC, but same speech ofc :)

He's a dangerous guy, his likeable, foppish, buffoon like charisma is all a front, underneath he's a very intelligent, shrewd, cold, calculating, nasty *******

The last politician who had as much a false persona they projected like that was Tony Blair

Edit : Oh, and as a remainian, I wish Osborne would just keep his trap shut....do you guys want him? :p

Only if 'in other words' now means 'if you change all the words in a sentence with no desire to maintain the original meaning', then sure.

So you don't think the EU needs fundamental reform then?

Still waiting for someone to present their positive vision of the future with Britain in the EU. All I've heard to date is why we should stay in because of what they might take away from us if we Leave.

I don't think it needs 'fundamental' reform, no. What counts as fundamental anyway?

People have presented their views many times over in this thread, most of the time it's cited actual studies. That you don't want to read them isn't the same thing as nobody having presented them.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume the current stuff that we receive from the EU will go away if we leave though.

Apparently the Eu parliament have massively cut down on issuing legislation this term, holding it back till after June 23rd.
I read yesterday that they are only operating at 20% normal and have a massive backlog building up.

Once we've voted IN just watch them go.

Unsurprising. His autobiography of Churchill peddles every false myth about the man as fact.

He also once accused the ONS of being 'Labour stooges' when they called him out when he made up some crime statistics.
