Amazon account hacked

One thing about Amazon is it doesn't even ask for your security code when you purchase something. (Maybe the very first time)

It's literally as easy as login, click buy and pay. A few clicks.

Needs more security.

If it's not too far, I'd be tempted to watch the tracking and pop down for the delivery. Would be priceless to see the guys face when he opens the door to sign for it and you're stood there with 20m of plastic sheeting and a machete XD

a few years ago I had something similar happen. Someone had hacked into my amazon account, ordered an item and added a shipment address in Holland. The strange thing was, they had also added their own credit card details into my account with name and address!!!

It has it - enable it through amazon.com and it applies to your .co.uk account :)

Here:

To enable Two-Step Verification:
1. Go to Your Account and select Change Account Settings.
2. Click Edit in the Advanced Security Settings section.
3. Click Get Started to set-up Two-Step Verification.
4. Add your primary phone number (this phone must be able to receive SMS messages) or download and configure an authenticator app and click Send code.
5. Enter the code that was sent to your phone number or generated through the authenticator app and click Verify code and continue.
6. Do either of the following: ◦ Add a back-up phone number and decide on delivery format (text message or voice call).
◦ Download and configure an authenticator app. This will allow you to generate security codes when you're unable to receive messages to your device.

Note: You won't be able to turn on Two-Step Verification without adding a back-up phone number . This is so that you have a back-up option to receive a security code if you no longer have access to your primary mobile device .

It was announced last November but as usual the UK is second best and has to wait for it to be introduced here.

Not been hacked but a 'package' I ordered from the rainforest that was in stock, disappeared in Belgium.
Within 30 minutes of telling them a new one was on its way.
Almost as good srvice as ocuk.
Andi.

It's probably shipped to order, so the person it's going to has no idea they are receiving goods from a hacked account. You can check a few sellers on ebay where the feedback says "came straight from Amazon", usually with a few neutrals/negs for slow delivery or eventually refunded.
