Why can't I see my RAID0 drives?

Hi there! I had a new PC by OcUK delivered today, and it's great so far. :D

My only issue is that the PC doesn't seem to recognize my dual 1TB Samsung EVO SSDs in RAID0. I can see them in Disk Management, but they are unassigned, and when I right-click on Disk 0 my only option is to create a New Simple Volume. I don't know if this is the right option if they are already in RAID0.

Does anybody have any suggestions? The OcUK phones are closed up for the night!

When you say RAID 0 I presume you mean you want them joined into a single drive? If so that's not been done as Windows is seeing them as separate ones by the sound of things?

Check it out here. I can see them as individual drives in Disk Management, but it seems Windows does recognise them as being in RAID0. I just can't see them in explorer view.

That looks fine? 2x1TB in RAID0 is that size - so you just need to create a simple volume on it as you mentioned above.

What you're seeing in Disk Management is the resulting logical device that represents your array. Creating a volume is, in short, creating a partition and formatting it.

Am I just being silly? :D

If I create a Simple Volume, will the drives then appear in explorer view as a usable single drive?

Yes :) They will appear as a single drive - windows isn't interested in the underlying config - it is presented with a single drive so will show a single drive you can then partition as required.

Thank you both for your help. :)
