What do you pay for your broadband?

Sky Fibre Unlimited (40/10) = £20.00
Sky Talk Line Rental = £17.40
Sky Voicemail = £1.25

Total = £38.65

I have just agreed a £10 discount with Sky on the line rental for the next 12 months.

VDSL broadband £27.99/month (up to 40mb). Line rental is around £13 extra.

Extremely limited choice with only two local cartel broadband providers; no BT, Virgin, Sky etc.

For cable (coax) no as it is separate to the telephone line.

We just pay £35ish for 150mb cable and have no phone or TV sub.
Thanks. I remembered looking at Virgin before and getting confused.

Guest2, you don't live in E16 do you?

Rub it in why don't you :(

It's the same with most companies, incentives are offered to new customers whilst us established customers seem to subsidise the newbies

You have to keep jumping around, never stay with the same supplier unless they give you a stonking discount. With cashback + new customer discounts, it's never worth paying full price.

We were a bit silly and stayed with Be There (part of O2) for ~10 years, which was then taken over by Sky. It was only when Sky then tried to hike our negotiated price up from Be There days that we looked around.

I was shocked to see the deals through Topcashback, that I had been oblivious to until then. When we signed up to BT Infinity1 + phone, we got £120 cashback, which effectively made the promo £10pcm broadband free for minimum 12 month contract.

£39 a month, which sounds a lot but it used to be 45ms/1.2mb/0.3mb until we got superfast, alas I'm a long distance from the exchange so this is the best balance with noise rates.
I dream for speeds like this

Yeah to get the cheapest deals, need to be willing to regularly switch (or threaten to leave). I'm impressed with sky fibre tho! (especially for the price)

the offer is to sign a new 12 month contract by the 2nd of July and they'l reduce my BB bill to £5 a month

It's a joke, it's just crept up and up. Will be changing once my 12 months ends.
