in stock and sold by amazon

Had a mix up on an item on my latest order - had to chuckle at the response:

Amazon said:
Please accept my sincere apologies for the apparent mix-up. On priority, I've notified this to our fulfillment center staff so that they will investigate further and take necessary action to make sure that this will never happen to anyone as we take such feedback seriously.

To be fair had a reply back within about 5 minutes of sending a quick message off just before bed and replacement order raised almost immediately can't fault that aspect of customer service.

Yes I ordered Rise of the tomb raider for Xbox One and installed perfect and plays in English. But the box was in Spanish. I don't have a problem it just I didn't get what i bought and advertised in the end.

I did a review of the film and added at the end what had happened but amazon refused to put the review on even though I gave the film 5 stars as seen it be for but not seen it in years and I wanted to see it again.

Reviews on Amazon get denied if it isn't solely about the product.

Bought a DVD box set on Tuesday, turned up yesterday in a crushed box with tape hanging off and it was a sold & fulfilled by Amazon item. Was very unimpressed. A complaint of almost exclusive profanity was sent to CS and they were very apologetic and replaced it next day FOC. Almost felt bad in the end for going off on such a rant with how polite they were!

And so you should have, to be honest. A crushed box is no reason to send a ranty message as your first contact with a customer service team.

if you're UK, chances are it's being souced by Amazon EU, so they'll hunt down the product from any country they can get it.
one issue i had like this was when i ordered a scanner, next day delivery - got the confirming mail and it said the expected delivery was a fornight off! fired off a mail, they said it was because the thing came from EU, so i replied saying why are you offering next day then if you know it's coming thousands of miles and you can't honour it? was pretty hacked like, i'd booked a day's hol to be in for it.

This.

I ordered a Nerf gun earlier in the week and it said next day delivery (I have Prime). It didn't arrive. Later, I got an email with an estimated delivery date of 2-3 days later. It turned out to be coming from Germany.

I place an awful lot of Amazon orders each year and I've not had that so far.

However it's easy to add something to a wish list as sold by Amazon and then access it from that link and add to basket without noticing its switched to a reseller due to the display the cheapest approach. Is that a possibility or were these items added straight to basket and purchased?

I am sure there is another way this can happen when switching tabs in a single browser session but I've not narrowed down the cause yet as it's only happened a couple of times.

An issue I do have is items changing between available next day or not for Prime delivery. I think this relates to whether they have stock in the UK or not or perhaps which warehouse but all told it still an impressive service.

This happened adding it straight to basket and proceed to checkout. I even went over order be for clicking proceed as I done from beginning. Its only since I joined prime this has happened.
