*** Show us your bikes! ***

New bike arrived this evening, literally, after 9 - so not really been able to do anything with it. Here's some pics, will take better ones tomorrow.

Sadly, got a black seat due to the seat manufacturer not keeping up with demand. Will have the proper coloured one posted to me in the next 3-4 weeks.

So you actually went for it? Nice!
What are the plans for the exhaust? I mean, no one likes stock cans and they usually make your bike sound like a big scooter. :p

Cheers!

Definitely going for a new Exhaust - was checking out the wings stuff (less than half the cost of an akra!) but might do some eBaying to see what I can pick up more cheaply.

This bike is going to be almax'd + disc locked wherever I go!

Looks like you have a baffle in, thank you :D

Also - please use the rest of the tyres :O

Lol baffle went in last night, at 120db without baffle. It's just too loud but sounds great,

Tyres are the stock vee rubber rubbish, I got some metz wintec feelfree in the garage to put on, trying to find somewhere that can change 12" tyres and guarantee no wheel damage.

The bike only has 53 miles on clock. The previous owner didn't use it much, ive had her 3 days.

120dB!? That is too loud. My wr450f thumper, I think without a baffle is about that and like you say, it sounds great but after 10 minutes of riding you will wish you were deaf (you'll be close to actually becoming deaf too :D ). Also 90% of the people who hear you will not appreciate the noise.

Anyway, enjoy the bike.

Thanks mate :)

Sun came out for 30 secs. Quickly took some pics

Excellent. My stepson has just had his MSX delivered, bright yellow! He has an Italian licence so just waiting for the UK counterpart before he can ride it. Extremely cute thing can't wait to have a go.

And ignore tyre detectives telling you how to ride- ride it exactly how you want, go at your own pace and enjoy it exactly how you want to.

Kind words mate. Thanks :)

I'm sure you and your stepson will love the Grom, it's a bag of laughs. It's nit fast by any means but it's not all about speed for me

Did the previous owner like ladybirds? :p

Looks nice and clean, I'd tidy it up a little (take off the rim tape, the pink grips etc.) :D

The grips are red :) but they will be changed 1st.

Cleaned the bike and noticed the the seals are pretty knackered on the forks, didn't see it when I got it as they are on the inside. Going to have to get them sorted this week though. :(

1997 CBR900RR Fireblade

Few bits to sort, want to get it tuned as I think it might be running a bit rich, and just give it the once over, not that it needs much doing to it
