*** Show us your bikes! ***

Ta. I'm sorely tempted by an RSV4 APRC at some point soon. But the size of them puts me off a wee bit, they are absolutely tiny!! :D

I sat on one at the MCN show and was surprised that I seemed to fit, and I'm 6ft 3. The R1 felt much more aggressive, the tuono and RSV4 actually felt a decent size. Obviously out on the road it might be a different matter...

This. I'm 6ft2 so although I probably look like a monkey humping a water melon, it is actually pretty roomy once on it. Not quite as comfortable as my old S1000RR but is very acceptable for a sports bike.

Nice :D Hopefully I can find somewhere with a used one willing to do test rides, even a standard model (won't be much different between them and the factory) as I really could do with seeing what they're like at motorway cruising and slow speed stuff, I intend to use it to got down to the alps so a little bit of comfort will be nice (although the fuel stops every 2-3 hours should make it ok!).

I'm glad there is blue sky outside my office window right now or that picture might have just pushed me over the edge.

For a second I thought you posted a picture from a brochure! :p :D Nioce

What sort of temperatures do you have over there right now?

28 but feels like 32 according to weather.com

I have to say riding in nice warm weather is a really nice experience. You can just feel your bones warming up.

Only downside, is you don't really gear up often. Helmets are not even req'd. Though i do wear a helmet 90% of the time.

Well that Italian beauty lasted long !

Roadside_Recovery.jpg

I keep saying to myself, my luck will change with this 'Italian beauty' anytime one is added to the collection or purchased.. But nope, she / they always let me down !

It's electrical. Thinks the sidestand is still down and will not allow the motor to start. Thing is i could have snipped it and bypassed it. But the bike is all under warranty as is the roadside recovery. So may aswell let Ducati pick it up and deal with it. Either its as simple as the switch needs to be replaced, or it could be a broken wire, god knows where in the loom.

You need a Triumph or something Japanese :p

Oh don't worry, i was back out on one of my two Jap bikes yesterday, tearing it up.... It's true though, if you like tearing into bikes, the Jap bikes are just made that much easier to work on. Better logic and much better reliability.. But you cannot deny, the Italians sure know how to make a bike look the bomb ! (GP Desmo 16 winglets aside !!! What were they thinking there ? )
