*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Bit of an odd issue, grabbed a PS4 a few months ago, all working fine set up in the living room, moved it up to the bedroom recently and having to use WiFi rather than a cabled connection.

I can play games for as long as I like over WiFi, but when I go to download a large file say an update or try to stream something in HD say via Netflix or NowTV it will freeze after a few minutes. The console is still running, but the controller will disconnect and won't pair back to the console. I have to hold down the power button for a good few seconds to do a full reset rather than go into standby mode. It will then boot back up fine, controller works fine.....
I had this happen with NowTV some days ago for the first time. Though like you, I've only started using WIFI few days ago after moving flats and not having my router next to the PS4 anymore.

For me this happened after I set the controller to go disconnect after 10minutes of idle while watching Game of Thrones and the NowTV app seemed to chrash. Hasn't happened again after I disabled controllers turning off from the powersaving features.

The cheeky buggers at Chair have priced Shadow Complex PS4 at £3 more than on Xbox One. £14.99 on PSN vs £11.99 on Xbone. I know £3 is nothing but it's the fact that it is dearer on one than the other that has got my back up. Well I'll wait now until it's half price in a sale before I get it. :p

I'd like to play it but, ever-growing backlog aside, I bought it for the 360 for £9.99 a year ago just to use up the money in my MS account that was going to expire (because money can expire, apparently) but have never got round to playing it or setting my 360 up again, for that matter.

Far too many games, really not sure how people can say this gen has been boring for them so far.

To be honest I don't know how so many people have so much time for all these games. As most of the games I have are either a quarter or half way through, with 3 - 4 complete but not platinum.

I have some digital stuff that I haven't touched but this gen I am buying one game at a time (physical), completing it, then selling/trading it.

There is plenty of decent stuff out there.

Is God of War l and ll good? Currently playing through Ghost of Sparta. This is my first GoW game as I never really gave hack n slash games any chance

I enjoyed them, you can get them on either PS3 or Vita via HD classics. Vita ports were a bit iffy - well GOW II was, it would hang etc... PS3 was fine, like I say I enjoyed them

Five hours of God of War 3 today and both of my PS4 controllers are out of battery and I only charged them this morning. Puts me off using my PS4 :(

Definitely something wrong with your controllers mate. I know the battery isn't the best but there's no way on earth they only last 2.5 hours each.

I can get a full day of play out of mine, 6-8 hours before they run dry. That's 6-8 hours each.

Been reading rumours this week that Sucker Punch (Infamous) are doing a PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game to coincide with a new film. But also that they are remastering Infamous 1 for PS4. Will have to wait and see on that but I hope they are. It's a fantastic game which looked a bit scrappy on the PS3.

Had my ps4 for two weeks now. I notice when playing games it intermittently makes a high pitched humming noise for a couple of seconds. Is this normal?

I get this too, don't think its anything to worry about.

I have had a few instances of my controller cutting out, mid round while playing cod too, bloody annoying.
