Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

I would have absolutely loved to do another playthrough of all three before starting 4 just to see the character development as well as the technical improvements they made with each one, but I simply don't have the time. Last time I played them was in the couple of weeks before TLoU on PS3.

Amazon uses Yodel to deliver preorders rather than Royal Mail for guaranteed delivery on release. So they can dispatch on Monday and have faith it will arrived on Tuesday 99.9% of the time.

Just got my despatch notice. It is Royal Mail Tracked so it is going to be Monday.

Played through the first 8 chapters and have to say i'm blown away.

It's incredible how Naughty Dog have managed to make, without a doubt, the best looking console game i've seen and have it perform so smoothly.

Awesome voice acting as you would expect, story is a little slow to get going but it's engrossing enough that you don't want to skip the cinematics.

Gameplay wise, guns feel good, fights are fun. The rope grapple hook is awesome, the stealth mechanics are great.

No negatives thus far, it really has been a fantastic experience. Most reviews say the game really picks up around 9 chapters in, so i'm very interested to see what's next :)

Played this for about 2 hours, loving it so far.....feels like I'm playing TLOU at times. Couldn't get into TLOU but I do love Uncharted and especially this one.

Bit off topic but does anyone know if the 'pre order only' dynamic theme will be available separately after the game has released?

Does anyone know if i order this from the PS store if it'll be available to play after download or is it still restricted to 10th May even after the theft and 'early release' by some vendors?

Unsure about this, seems quite a few reviews are pretty scathing of the actual gameplay, which is where uncharted has always suffered:

But this is all about the narrative and where Uncharted 4 feels weaker it is in the moment-to-moment gameplay.

Uncharted 4 feels very much like a series running low on fresh ideas and sometimes coasting on the petrol fumes of past glories.

The world isn't nearly as open as the world of the latest Tomb Raider games

Each puzzle room is incredible to look at, though, and also adds to the mystique of the legendary pirates. But for the most part, they are not as clever as the brainteasers as the ones in last year’s Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I assume PSN price for this is ridiculous as PSN always is? Where's the cheapest for old fashion disc?

Really hope they've fixed the god awful aiming system that effected the enjoyment of the previous 3 games.

There's now an auto aim system that snaps to enemies. Makes it a bit better.

Anyone noticed any differences between XB1 and PS4 versions yet?

The Xbox One version has a female as the lead character ;)

Got my copy yesterday. Played a few hours. Excellent stuff as always.
