Is OCUK selling the "Founder Edition" GTX1080?

I am confused, it is my understanding that the founders edition is supposed to be faster than the reference. Not that it has a different heat sink.

Founders edition is suppose to be better for overclocking. It will ship i think like a non founder edition just that it will probably reach 2000mhz at least like they did in the event??? Kinda like how ocuk sell binned special edition cpus as 8pack overclocks em and if they reach a certain speed and are stable they go in the sell for way of the odds pile. :p

I believe Nvidia are selling the Founders Editions direct. Essentially Special binned to be able to clock well like what was shown.

But one thing i would like, is for them to show non founders editions in benchmarks, but i reckon they sent just founders cards out to Sites for benching. Pretty disingenuous.

The founders edition as mentioned by nvidia will be available from board partners such as zotac Asus pny evga etc and there's no indication that these are cherry picked gpus nvidia.co.UK has notify me for the founder edition as well as the Facebook nvidia UK page is boasting about this card so it's very highly likely we'll be able to get it here in the UK too

All the news sites are reporting that during the livestream they stated they were binned chips for the founders cards. Did you watch the livestream? Is that not what they said?

I don't recall hearing that i know jensun said they've made improvements to the cooler itself as well as its power delivery and better quality components to enable a higher oc nothing was mentioned about binned chips

Ive just watched it again. He doesnt specifically mention binned chips, but he does specifically say the founders edition will overclock better than a "standard" one.
If the founders is the same heatsink etc as the standard one, and nvidia dont normally do 2 types of reference board, so the only thing left that can be different to account for the price difference is binned chips.

I guess we'll find out in the coming weeks.

As above, most of the more accurate reporting has confirmed that the 'founders' edition simply refers to the reference cards... The suggestion it will overclock better simply a result of the more advance cooling solutions which would come from the likes of EVGA etc.

Just seen JayZTwocents lastest vid, with a founders edition card. Chk it out, explains everything

Still confusing as you can still buy reference cards now of the old gen albeit not sold by nvidia directly. So are fe cards also going to be sold by evga etc? If so,surely they can price lower?

i was hoping to get a new card come 10th june guess ill be waiting for the first 3rd party card to get a 1070 out is the one taking my money

I really hope the founders edition isn't too much. If it is I'll wait, but would rather offload my other Titan X ASAP.
