Yeah, looking at it, it doesn't really do much, esp as the first year you need to pay the £150 for the test. After that there might be a slight saving with standard renewal fees.

I'll probably still do it, just to keep improving. Then will sign up to one of their track day courses, just to get my foot in there.

Got my US20's but one of the fitting kits is for a US5 (the tiny bag) and doesn't work with a US10/20/30 :(

Have dropped them an email, hopefully they'll sort it nice and quick.

Both good brands, I like my Dainese MIG C2's, but in a hurry bought them too big. The A* SP8 are nice too, they fit my hand a bit better as I've skinny long fingers. :p

Yeah, they're always really good with me. Even sent me the old style straps so it'd fit better on my speed triple when the bags aren't very full.

There was a guy on a naked aprilia v twin tonight coming back from stourport, idk what model it was though, was an 08

He made me do naughty things

@IC3 - only one bag strapped to the side (see post above) but the US20 is made to sit on the US30, fits great and doesn't hang below or above the US30.

I've got a luggage net which goes over the top of the US30 so if I'm wearing my kelvar jeans my leather bottoms will get strapped on top.

I've re-packed my tent now and the US30 is more evenly packed, but with the decent tent and nice warm sleeping bag that fills the US30. Then one US20 for the self inflating mattress, stove and trainers (with some room to spare) which leaves the 2nd US20 for clothes and sundries.

Finally, my 30l (when expanded) tankbag will take a spare clear visor, waterproofs, all electronic stuff, map/passport etc. And of course the camelbak with 3l of storage on my back for odds and ends, and 2 litres of water :D

I could strap the tent on top of the kriega bags with bungees but I prefer everything to be in bags and nice and secure.

I was about to pull the trigger on those Dainese. The alpine stars you recommended are basically what my Ricah's are trying to copy (WSS) they were fine as a quick replacement but I can really tell their not the best gloves. Plus I hate the end which is super wide. I want something short so I can see the Dainese being more of what I'm after

Edit: just had a look on Amazon but they don't have my size. Bummer as I would've liked it for tomorrow

@TallPaul_S, Nice, thanks for the pictures. I've a Givi mount for my SV, but I accidentally broke the screws that go into the handle for the pillion passenger. Its fixable, I'll have to fix it some time. I wonder if you can get sine if those bolts that go into that handle. I only really need one, as it snapped in half. :p

So when I fix that, I can have a Givi Box at the very back, on the passenger seat Kriega US30, US20 and a tank bag. So that's quite a lot of baggage I could potentially take. :p Something like 100 litres?

Edit:

Yeah you should be able to get that bolt somewhere.

This is what a US30 (and 2x US10's) looks like on the back of a Tuono, should be a nice set up for touring. And even easier wheelies :D

If I wasn't camping I could easily get away with just a 20 and 2x 10's, the 20 is a fair bit smaller than the 30 so would fit on any pillion seat.

And if I need a more space a 3rd US20 on top of the US30 is an option :D

You could do 100l easy with a kriega setup. I have US30, 20 x2, 10 and a 15l tank bag, so 95 I can put on :D

Plus the us70 setup gives a nice platform to strap more stuff to.

I managed to find that bolt, its called Grub Hex Screw. I'm also missing a M6x16mm screw with a silicone washer, order that too. Only spent around £2,80 on missing screws/bolts.

BTW Is there a point of having 100L, I mean that's a lot of luggage. I think, I'll use hotels when I go to Alps, I want to explore the roads without having all that luggage on my SV. :p Its like you guys said, for Alps even a 100bhp+ bike struggles, that luggage would only be unnecessary weight.

We're off to the Alps in 3 weeks time. I'm packing:

- top box - 31 litres
- tank bag - 11 litres max
- dry bag - 5 litres (to hold water proof gear separate from everything else)

Plenty of space for 7 days, including a MacBook and a few other electronics.

Norway next year when we're also camping, I'm at 140 litres on the current plan, but that's a 14 day trip plus we need to carry food and provisions too.
