If the 1070's come out at around £350 then the 970's aren't going to really dip under £200 inc imo

A pair for £375-£400 would be a nice SLi setup to last someone at 1080p/1440p for a wee while :)

You think we have it bad price wise i am hearing reports that the Aussies prices for the 1080 are over $1000 mark

So is it rumour then this pre ordering from OC ....not that i am buying just intrigued to see the price

There's almost 0 chance they will be 350£ at launch. More like 400-500£*if they are as fast/faster than the GTX 980 Ti.

At those prices, who are they aiming these cards at? The draw for me was a sub £300 970 upon release. I'm not interested in a £400+ 1070 and I would hazard a guess I wont be alone.

I really really think Nvidia and AMD will struggle to sell Pascal, Polaris, (maybe big Pascal / Vega). We all already have cards that nail 1080p. And these new cards just aren't nailing 4K. So why upgrade? For an extra 30fps at 1080p when your already getting 144?
