Knife attack at London supermarket

So er, there are lots of references being made to Islam in this thread so far, has there actually been any evidence whatsoever, what this attack is related to any form of islamic terror? :confused:

(obviously it may turn out to be the case, but so far nothing specific has been said about it.. ? )

Well the references to the attack in germany are pretty silly, there were reports of shouts of 'allahu akbar' when that happened (which turned out to be false) There is no such reports in this case.

BBC seem to think the Air Egypt story is more important that what is going on in our own country. Must not be enough good stuff in the stabbing to link it to terrorism...

Surely all these are started to inform and then provoke a debate? Sometimes led by the OP, other times not.

Your initial post is loaded with baseless insinuations and comparisons to other events, obviously intended to spark argument rather than debate.

Well I literally copied and pasted the Munich knife attack thread and changed the (few) details that are different.

These insinuations you speak of were in that thread.

Thus, they did not belong in your initial post as at this time the two events are entirely unrelated unless the available information changes to show any similarity as the story develops.

Cowardly attack on multiple woman in public with knife for no reason - yep plenty of evidence.

no they weren't false, the attacker did shout allahu akbar, which is why it got a lot of attention as quite reasonably it was initially suspected to be an Islamist attack

You are right, I shouldn't have used the terrible attack of four people to point score

But it does show some double-standards when it comes to General Discussion. That was really the point I suppose.

And the link between the stories is how similar they are.

Maybe I'm missing it but the only similarities I see is a knife attack on random people by a male.

I'm not sure if "out of it" indicates intoxication or mental issues.

I guess it was only a matter of time before ~~Germany~~ London suffered one of these attacks. It will be interesting to see how this is managed politically. There is a huge amount of tension in the country at the moment.

So by your definition of tragedy, the near daily suicide bombings in places like Iraq should get lots of coverage because the amount of people who died and how many of those were children.

A woman was seemingly hit by a car transporter in Stratford on Avon this morning, died at the scene and a young girl airlifted to hospital.
