Tap. Pay. UK. - Android Pay in the UK

Well I'm using an S7 Edge with custom ROM (Echoe ROM v8) with xposed, root, 500 DPI using this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/guide-how-to-change-dpi-root-t3335596),

Changing the build.prop makes android trigger that the /system has been modified and also wont work on marshmellow touchwiz (maybe earlier versions I dunno)

Here are some screenshots off my phone

How did u get it to work with root?

my oneplus with cm13 and root wont allow me to add cards. Probably wasnt going to use it much anyway but shame theres something I cant use. Will probably be changing to whatever the next google 5 device is at the end of the year and doubt ill root that so not too fussed

Doesn't work on some types of HSBC (legacy stuff) is what HSBC are saying. If you have a silver / orange card / the other high cards you're fine.

so an advance card should be okay?

with rooted devices apparently they cannot confirm its a secure device? according to the play store reviews anyway.

Upgraded to the Android N preview 3 so that I can keep a sensible DPI but actually have android pay work, just need to find somewhere with contactless to try it now.

Systemless root worked for me on Marshmallow (adding a card, didn't test paying) as long as the /su/xbin_bind folder doesn't exist (which it doesn't by default with recent version of the chainfire systemless root I believe).

I was going to use it this evening in a local shop but noticed I had no signal so panicked and used cash! I've since read that it should still work, good to know for next time!

I've used it a couple of times at the Post Office today. Worked great. Just need Santander to get on board asap!

Set up my Halifax debit card easily enough and used it in Costa this morning, Barclaycard need to sort it out and stop trying to go with their own contactless payment system.

Will the app itself be needed once cards are set up? It wont really matter which app it is, as long as you have it on your phone?

The problem is you have a default app set for touch payments. So if you have multiple cards including a barclaycard/barclays, you either have android pay set as default and it becomes difficult to use barclays, or you have the barclays app set as default and now it's difficult to use your other cards.

Anybody having issues with Nationwide? My Debit adds fine but says my credit card is unsupported even though its listed as compatible?

Are you sure their credit cards are supported? I'm sure I read it was only their debit cards yesterday though I can't find that information now.

On the Nationwide website it just says "You can use Android Pay with all our current account debit cards"

Very good point.

Got this working on my rooted HTC 10 with custom ROM no problems.

Surprised there isn't any security needed to make a payment. Screen on and hold it to the card reader till the phone vibrates. Its just as quick as using a conventional card.

This is what i said earlier, but why are you surprised there's no security? There's no security if you tap your contactless card either. It's a risk the banks take on :)
