Why do people 'dress up' for these things?
What do you dress up for? Its part of our social culture to dress up for such events. And most of the time being middle class we don't have such events to dress up all the time So the feeling of being well dressed increases our happiness, but you know. Why bother.
But to go gamble and watch the races and get stupidly drunk? Whats the point?![]()
Because I don't want to be the only one in sweat pants/Tee combo whilst the other 18 in our group are all wearing suits. Why do people 'dress up' for these things?
Grey suit, waistcoat, polish those shoes.
Then cover it in vomit and kebab at the end of the day.
Don't forget to wee in a pint pot so that you can boast all about it on social media.
Or if you're a 'lady' take a dump in the street behind a van. (Yes I've seen this at Chester races).
