***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I'm finding the Merc Arocs awesome but difficult!

I was on step three this morning, sank about an hour into the build to realise on step 40 that I had made a mistake on step 8 (the rubber damper feet - which in my morning slight hungoverness I had put on the wrong way! I tried dismantling parts to get to the fix but in the end gave up and started step 3 again! Almost finished step 4 now, how people can say they build this truck in like 7 hours is crazy!

I don't understand the fascination with building sets in a super-fast time. Take your time, and enjoy the build :)

Just ordered my 911, unfortunately it's listed as OOS and shipping in 30 days, LEGO site seemed to be having a few issues though so I hope it's a glitch.

Also there seems to be an error in the instructions regarding the gearbox, 2nd and 3rd gear are the wrong way around, which is unforgivable given the cost and the "premium" of the set. Fortunately it's just a case of switching a couple of cogs around, but still :o

If there is indeed a shipping delay that might be the reason.

Just went on to order the Porsche and was quite shocked that it was already out of stock, however this may explain things!

It was OOS virtually the second it went live, I have a feeling the instructions are the reason as it couldn't have been that limited.

Better for Lego to at least let people order rather than delay.

Apparently its not limited at all. Its a normal technic set so will be available for a few years. Having read about the issues, I've decided i'm going to wait and see If I can pick it up at a discounted rate.

Yeah, I meant as in it's not available globally fully as yet, just brand stores in Germany (maybe Austria?) but otherwise it's only online until later this year.

Seems the new Star Wars sets are out, but at a ludicrous price!

£100 for the Clone Turbo Tank
£80 for the Resistance X Wing (£10 more than Poes X Wing, which is arguably more desirable! Bonkers pricing!)
£80 for the Tie Advanced and A Wing
£50 for the Luggerbeast set

!

Edit: I've pulled the pics as the House of Mouse and Lego apparently are not happy and I don't want any trouble ( I'm not the original source, I believe it was The Brick Show) or the wrath of the OCUK mods either.

A quick google for Star Wars Rogue One Lego Leaks, sites such as stotmtrooperlarry.com or a look at the Lego subreddit will turn up the pics if anyone is interested.

Piece count and prices are as follows:

75152 – 385 pcs, $29.99/€39.99
75153 – 449 pcs, $39.99/€49.99
75154 – 543 pcs, $69.99/€69.99
75155 – 659 pcs, $79.99/€79.99
75156 – 863 pcs, $89.99/€99.99

Buildable figures:

75119 – 104 pcs. $24.99/€24.99
75120 – 169 pcs, $24.99/€24.99
75121 – 106 pcs, $24.99/€24.99

75153 looks great! Gonna be getting one of those (if not all, of the next wave!). Really think the whole range looks amazing.

Will probably get the AT-ST, never had one of those before although this version looks fairly basic?

In Porsche news, still showing as OOS on the LEGO site but annoyingly UK brand stores seemingly have plenty of them, I'm sure they said it wouldnt be available in UK brick and mortar stores until later this year :/

I don't like those new SW sets at all, much like the hideous TFA first sets. Now they have a bit more time the TFA sets are getting better, like that blue x wing, so much better. I guess they have such locked down limited information to build from.

Anyway Helicarrier build is going slowly, my son is finding it pretty challenging and fiddly compared to the death star which he did relatively easy. He's only upto bag 6 so far and just got a load of Avengers set's for his birthday.

I have my eye on that Spideman upcoming set 76057.

An interesting review of the Porsche GT3 RS Technic set.

They are in stock in my local lego shop but I can't justify buying one, in my opinion they just don't look that good in the flesh. The reviews have been mixed to say the least.

Just finished the merc arocs, what a build!
