TBH if that was a spoiler for anyone who'd watched more than a couple of episodes of Mr Robot you really weren't paying attention :P

Nah. There's a number of possible explanations for what happens. Obviously can't say too much, but I had various theories as to what was happening. VF just confirmed which one it was. That's what annoyed me.

I was at the filming of that Thronecast episode yesterday and man, the guy that plays Syrio is tiny!!!! Well they all were (Melvin and Rob Beckett).

Don't watch that show, but wondering the relevance of an actor who 'died' IIRC 5 years ago being anywhere near the marketing of the show today?!? It's either a giant Troll or giant Spoiler
Ha ha, I Really wouldn't read too much into the guests they had on, they had the bloke that played Merynt Trant on last week and the woman who played Lyssa (Cait's Sister) on before that and I think it's safe to say neither of them are coming back.

I might.....

..have spoken too soon. Syrio to kill the Waif???

I can see that being true. Syrio is an unusual loose thread in a story that has very few.

Just please let him not be Jaquen or someone wearing his face from the wall or something lame like that...

Might be the producers messing with the fans, same as when Tyrion unchained the dragons and everyone decided he must be Targaryen, he might be, or they might be messing with people.
Interesting to see how it turns out.

Good episode :)

Called the 'no trial by combat' thing :D It looks like Cleganebowl is off, and Sandor will be heading north with the BWB? And no Lady Stoneheart? Can't say I'm disappointed.

The Arya situation resolved itself rather confusingly. Was she wounded, or not? One minute she's suffering from a gut wound. The next she's seemingly fine. Then back to barely able to stand again.

Bit of a disappointing episode from an action perspective. No assault on Riverrun. The Blackfish fight happened off-screen. The Arya and Waif fight happened off-screen. And Cersei's 'I choose violence' moment was a bit of an anti-climax. From the trailer, I thought unGregor was going to rip through the entire group.

Also, I'm really not looking forward to the next Dany scene. Will someone just kill her already? She's clearly about to throw a strop because Tyrion failed to fix the mess that she created, despite also failing to fix that mess before running away for a few months and leaving nobody in charge. This is backed up by an interview with Emilia Clarke, where she's throwing out lines such as "It's like when you go away and tell your kids not to throw a party, and you come back and find that they did throw a party". Umm... no. I'm pretty sure this isn't like that at all... Annoying, whiney, spoilt bint.

It was a bit rubbish. She can't beat the Waif at her best so giving her a sword in the dark is supposed to offset her injury?

Not feeling it.

Agreed, especially the anti-climax. I was expecting things to heat up a bit this episode and they had the opportunity to do just that with any one of those scenes. Instead they decide to be lazy and feed us <5min of Tyrion acting like a twit.

I am. I want to see how Yara and Daenerys get along :)

Off screen Blackfish and Waif deaths. Only one man killed by the mountain. I'm hoping something special will be in store soon!

Oh and that Syrio behind the waif who was not actual Syrio ha like many people thought.

What a failure of an episode. Nothing noteworthy happens, we get several character deaths all off screen and the plot doesn't really seem to move.

Eh? You're forgetting that two major fan theories have been blown out of the water tonight....

Cleganebowl is dead in the water with Trial By Combat being outlawed and the Hound joining the BWB who are heading north.

Beric Dondarrion's appearances kills the 'Lady Stoneheart' appearance theory.

It's interesting that Beric and Thoros appear to know about the White Walkers. I wonder how they found out about that?

Thoros is a red priest, I imagine he's always known the theory of it, and with lots of people shouting off about them, wildlings south of the wall and so on, it doesn't take much to piece it together.

If I remember correctly she asked him to look into if there were any caches of wildfire remaining hidden under the city from the Mad Kings days.

Weren't they used during the Battle of the Blackwater, to burn the fleet under Stannis/Davos?

I think there were rumours of remaining caches, which she asked him to investigate.

Also if we think back to Brans visions earlier on in the season, we see what looks like Kings Landing architecture consumed in a wildfire explosion.

There was something else we saw at the same time IIRC. There are a few things it could be:

1. It could be Varys on his way
2. It could be they found out where Tyrion is, perhaps even that he wasn't involved in the death of the king, and that he's helping a Targaryen queen that has dragons and she's on her way to forge an unlikely alliance
3. It could be that Riverrun has fallen to Jaime and he's on his way back with an army at his heels
4. It could be that they've found out the Tyrells were involved in poisoning Joffrey and in telling Tommen she'd turn him against Tyrells and start a civil war
5. It could be something from the High Sparrow's past
6. It could be something about what the High Sparrow is planning, that would undermine his power
7. It could be something to do with the White Walkers, and that all able-bodied men must be sent north - including the Sparrows
8. Of course, it could be wildfire after all. I'd just be a bit disappointed as we've already had that once.

I got to sit down and watch this at lunchtime today... all i can say is MEH

Bit of a disappointing episode if im honest.

Hopefully next weeks will be better.

All that build up last week to nothing this week and the battle of the *******s next week, hopefully that should have some good bits.

Only part I'm not looking forward to is Davos finds the grave of the Stannis Daughter :(

I really liked the episode. Kept me hooked throughout which is rare this season. Don't know why people are complaining about the Waif being killed by a wounded Ayra. She was blind for however long and learned how to fight in the dark. Something I assume the other girl either didn't or hadn't for a long time. That was her way of evening the score. Her wounds were quite healed and she battered herself getting back to where her sword was. Adrenaline would deal with a lot of the pain.
