What have you done to your car today?

Serviced the Skoda (oil filter, Helix HX7 10W40 semi, air filter, new sump plug, pollen filter) and generally went over it checking tyres, topping up screen wash etc. All good. :)

Cleaned some poo off of the Celica, topped up the screen wash, stuck a sticker on it, checked the coolant level.

??
The mk2 mps worth around 10k.
mines worth around 7.5 - 8k

He offered me £6k for mine. I just laughed and left.

The problem with your particular car is that very, very few people would actually want it. The kind of person who wants to buy a diesel Mazda 3 is not, in general, the kind of person who wants a modified one. And the kind of person who wants to buy a modified car wouldn't be looking at getting a Mazda 3 diesel. If you are looking at selling, you'd probably have the best chance on the owners club forum classified section.

How could it possibly be 8k as private sale when there are unmolested ones of the same age for sale at a dealers for 7500?

Put the PDC fuse back in, yep, still constant beep in reverse.

Took the fuse out again.

Who needs parking sensors anyway?

Apparently the trick is to listen to them, the one that isn't clicking or is clicking quieter is faulty and needs replacing

DONT do it with the engine running like someone suggested lasf time it came up, you'll reverse over yourself

You won't reverse over yourself, because the car will have gone backwards before you even get out of it :D

But yes, already checked, all sensors are ticking at the same rate. Tapping sensor 4 results in it intermittently working, then going constant beep again the next time I drive. This kind of indicates a dodgy connection to number 4 that goes on and off with vibrations as the car is driven I guess.

Why don't you just check which is not working in INPA? You can wave your hand in front of each sensor individually and the one that doesn't show up on INPA = the broken one

You should be able to get it working with a virtual xp launch - assuming you don't have an empty partition to stick it on to then repair the windows 10 boot loader

I'm not going to be messing with my partitions or virtualization to try to get it working as I've already tried all that anyway. There is a new software package for the NCS and INPA made for Wondows 10 but you have to buy it again which I can't be bothered to do for a single task when Carly does 99% of everything else really.

I'll get my Indy to check and sort during the night at service or just take the bumper off once I have a little more time.

I've got the Saab workshop manual and part catalogue in an XP VM (it's a PITA to run on 7/8) and it's great. It just suspends when I close VMWare workstation and takes about 5 seconds to fire up when I need it :)

Alternatively I can bring my XP netbook to the next meet and you can borrow it until the next meet after that, I don't use it much. :p

Lets see how the VM goes first but thanks;

Hmm perhaps another go is in order then! Will email later cheers :p

It's a nice to have thing I guess, just stashed in the cupboard ready and waiting.

I also want to make m track mode through NCS.
