Are you happy?

In a few generations we'll all be forgotten, just meaningless names in the past. Then in a few billion years when the sun dies and swallows this fractionally miniscule portion of the universe we call 'our' planet in a last-gasp of fiery wrath every breath, every uttered word and every jot of energy expended will have been for absolutely nothing.

I'll take that as a no?

i get a lot of pleasure in life but cant say im happy lots of surfing and red wine and i live in an amazing place with a surreal beach lifestyle ,personal life is a bit of a shambles after a seperation , just reading a Dalai Lama book on happiness as it happens

I should be happy..........

I've got a great relationship with my wife, our son is four and we are going through the process of him going to reception.

We've got enough money to pay the bills, have a social life and do things like go on holiday.

I've got an ok job with people I like working with.

Yet I'm only ok. Wife and son make me happy and I really enjoy spending as much time as I can with them, everything else though I find myself feeling indifferent about.

Yes. But only with a few things. But they are the important things to .

Not happy with my job, but not a terrible one. Just a bit dead-end .
Not happy with where I live (due to job)
Very happy to have no kids
Happy to be taking 3 very different holidays
My car always makes me happy especially in summer
I don't much care or bother about things outside of this
And very lucky to find an amazing gf who is a hard to find mix between geeky and environmental which is just what I am and a lovely person to (great figure too, which also makes me happy!)

After having the worst year of my life last year is nice to feel content/happy.

I don't much care about my career, it's just a means to pay for things I like to do.
To improve my location would require me to emigrate shop really don't know what else I can do to improve 'happiness'

Ah, how wonderful :p

Well things could be worse

Exactly no matter how bad things get there's always someone worse off.

Think of all you have and be grateful for it, hopefully makes you feel better.

The above especially because so many people have nothing
And others have so much and aren't happy

I'm glad I don't care about status, or job title or being rich.
I've changed so much in the last year.

Best thing in the world is sitting on a beach, or out in a park with the gf, having a drink with some music. And then driving home in the sun with the roof down.
I'd rather that than having to worry because I'm in a really stressful job or responsible for a child

Little things mean a lot.

No. Because childcare costs more than my mortgage and it hinders my chances of paying off debt. I hate debt. Was hard to avoid when I was on ****ant kiddy wages.

Hopefully when I hit 40, both kids at school, I'll start to see the light.

Till then....my only real aim is to not kill another human being.
