How long do ASUS take to get a GPU repaired?

Good point but i will be surprised if it will be that long
14 days at most will see
had a friend recently with a sound card no turbo service and turnaround was 12 days yes i know it was not a gfx card but still

Oh believe me it can easily be the full amount as they are known to drag their heels if they feel like it.

Don't forget...

28 working days.

That's basically up to August...

Id just buy a new one and sell the one that comes back. Seriously.

Or probably best off running the card until the Rx 480 comes out. Stick a new fan on or sell it as it is. Buy an EVGA card, UK base and warranty.

Seems so silly. Because if they do. It just means they have lost a customer for life in me. I can't imagine why they would intentionally p*** off their own customers?

Sadly I thought I would be getting the OCUK "Turbo" RMA service, so I have already sent it to OCUK. Apparently that doesn't cover this so the card has been sent to ASUS. I wouldn't have sent it to OCUK if I had known it would be sent off to ASUS.

Asus rma is generally frowned upon as there's been loads of stories over the years of them sending out replacements that looks like they've been removed from an Elephants ass after it was dropped out of a cargo plane at 35,000 feet. Yet they seem to go over customer products with a microscope to see if there's anything they can call CID (customer induced damage) to deny the replacement.

That sucks, OCUK being a bit nasty there :(. I hope you get a quick turn around but Asus warranty is nothing to behold speed wise unfortunately.

I've had a good experience with my swift. Exchanged at the door. But it did take a few weeks to get it sorted.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Items returned for repair/replacement are sent to the manufacturer under warranty and the turnaround time can vary. Overclockers UK will try to return the items to you as soon as possible. If we are unable to return the items to you within 28 days, we will give you the option of a refund.

Depending on the age of the items, the refund may include a deduction for the length of time you have used them.

This does not apply when you return straight to manufacturer (learnt this the hard way).

By the way, agree that these special conditions for Turbo RMA, which are news to me, make it pretty much pointless. Will keep that in mind whenever something Asus ends up in my basket.

I will be sure to report back how long it takes etc. You never know, it might be quick. If OCUK has a word. all they need to do is replace a £3 fan. It's literally 4 screws.

Just a bit sucky because I've recently had a baby, so all my outdoor sports and activities are kind of out of the question. The only downtime I get is a bit of gaming in the evening when the little one has gone to bed. I guess I will try see what this thing they call Television is like these days.

Looks like I'm in the same boat, one of my strix cards **** the bed, refuses to install drivers and the other night I was getting a load of weird glitches on gtav. Presumably the ram has had it, it can still get into windows at an incredibly low and blurry resolution but that's the limit of what it can do.

Could just be the drivers. DDU them. I've had similar problems with my Ti's with random artefacts and crashing. Was locked to crazy core clock for some reason. DDU and re-install fixed it.

No go on that either, card just refuses to install any kind of driver, its been running hot for a while now and from what I seen in reviews the memory relies on the fans to cool it, there's nothing actually touching the ram to assist in that. Just must have given up the ghost.
