I used London and County and had no issues at all.
Bank is starting to really do my nut in now, They have an issue with the deposit proof. It is short by £43 really! REALLY!
Can not believe they see £43 as being an issue.
We have all the money across many accounts but man, Now got to go through it all again, to make sure they have the correct documents from the Broker.
Has anyone used a mortgage broker (that doesn't charge a fee before finding you a mortgage?). Any positive experiences?
Considering one considering I'm still in my work probation period (and don't want to be turned down from multiple mortgages)
Put the money in one account?
Simple.
Had an offer accepted on a bungalow for 260k... Not sure whether to drag my heels and stay at current 258k
Offer accepted at 258k!
Yes... Ill probably be one of few people in their 20's in a bungalow. At least I'm set for retirement.
A dated one at that(till I do it up..)
Anyone recommend any solicitors? I'll need to arrange one. Is it generally done locally?
Pic of your purchase?
England (Shame as Scotland is easier to buy (and cheaper!))You can choose a solicitor from anywhere in the country.
I'd keep Scotland/England separate though due to the differing processes (not sure of your location)
Not yet bought (need to go thru the motions etc), but accepted offer (I understand from this thread the process takes ages).

(a lot of work to do!).
Ocuk better not undercut me..

To hope it comes back on again, you must really love the house. Its a real shame when this happens, hope you get something sorted soon.
Me too. They were fantastic for me. Very happy indeed with their service.
Was the rate better than you otherwise could have found on your own? How big was the fee? Also how much mortgage and % LTV if you don't mind me asking
Thinking of pulling out of my purchase because of the news today.
What do we think it's going to do? If prices drop by a significant amount and we have another recession I'll not be able to move again for a long time. We've put a 35% deposit down so it's unlikely we'll be in negative equity any time soon though.
Hmmmm.
