I did say week.

The only way this works is if the rest of the EU starts to fall apart. As horrible as this sounds. At the moment we are the loud people who shouted a lot and quit, shouting "who's with us!?", and marched away. If nobody follows then welp.

Still scaremongering but as it's never happened before there probably will but it's happened so they just need to calm down think and get started

More likely they will look at the fact we left and think "Ohhhhhhhhkay then..." and stay because they are more sensible.

Minimum 2 years, max about 6 years.

Hmm that long eh. Strange that the pound has gone down if were still forced to be in for another 2 years. Would have made sense wouldn't it if the pound fell when its near the end of the 2 year mark? I mean if nothing is going to actually change for 2 years, why all the panic?

Is there no way to speed it up?

agreed - our only hope now is that rest of EU collapses

if it doesn't - we are stuffed

I can hear the jackboots and breaking glass In the ghetto of Romford now. The night of the kebab knives has begun.

It's going to be interesting none the less.

Honestly I think if just one more major contributor goes for a referendum it could well be a domino. Although I suspect the EU would be much more willing to negotiate with the next one.

Out, good :)

Bye bye EU.

Loving all the interviews with the shocked people who didn't expect this.

Cameron to now step down.

I wonder whether Gibraltar and Scotland will leave the uk.

This will heavily embolden continent sceptics, I presume AFP, Nat Front and such will win much larger proportions now.

I don't think they will. I think the total opposite will occur.

There is literally ZERO point to UKIP now. The majority of their voters wanted an independent state. They have that now.

The next parties will be the positive ones who push stabilisation.

because things have changed already.
and as I said it is unlikely to be more than 2 years. markets do not like uncertainty and that is exactly what we will have for years to come.

but money is only one aspect. far more worried about UK government ripping up our rights like they want to do. spying on us even more etc.
