Rocketing upwards no, but it would have been up because the markets are adverse to risk. Look at the world markets in the last few days when it seems remain was the most likely outcome, all have been up.

Remain would be for the most part keeping what we had and as such deemed less risk no? So the market would be more favourable leading into it and possibly a slight rise today before settling back down.

Now if you will excuse me im going back to the window to keep an eye out for the swarms of Locusts (sorry Queen Bees).

You don't have an EU passport. You have a British Passport and always have. There will be no effect.

Interesting comment just came up. Airbus. Will new parts start being manufactured in other countries now?

Pretty sure if you take a look at your passport it says EUROPEAN UNION right above United Kingdom dude. They are all laid out the same as the other 27 member states and we will have to get non eu passports eventually

"Salmond calls for second Scottish independence vote"

What an odious little man.

Well, he's kinda got a point seeing as EVERY Scottish borough voted remain.

It's now perfectly clear that England and Scotland are on different paths.

Astonishingly, I'm actually disappointed at what a liar Cameron is. Despite everything I thought better of him that this.

Just thinking, if all the people on my facebook who are calling people who voted leave; *****, morons, and saying they're leaving the UK etc., had put the same ammount of effort into engaging with people who were planning to vote leave, before the election took place instead of calling them racists and xenophobes, the results may have been different.

You seem surprised that people active on Facebook with their little 'opinions' are generally morons?

Funny how people don't like how democracy works when a result doesn't go in their favour. If the UK government and EU had done more to engage with the disenfranchised majority in this country then perhaps the result would have been different.

But lets ignore that and call the other side uneducated racists.

Yes, remain would have been less risk and most financial institutions forecasted an upside of around 5% on the remain vote and anywhere between 15-25% on a leave vote.

However with that said the market moves on volatility so trading volumes will increase which means people will start making money again.

too early for a pint ? :D

Is it? We're both on the same path as part of the United Kingdom, which we (Scotland) voted to remain part of. It was stated it would be a once in a lifetime vote, there's no need to have another.

Despite the SNP's claims, their support did go down at the last election and there is no reason to assume that support for the EU is the same as support for secession.

Any British PM who gave Scotland another referendum within the next twenty years would be an idiot and a traitor.

Westminster doesn't give a damn about us! People seem to think that this £350 million a week will fund everything, I bet you Wales wont see a penny of it!

Birmingham is still waiting for wales to pay it's bill for doing most of the heart surgeries that wales couldn't :)

More fool you.

He promised a referendum, called a referendum and then once the result didn't go his way jumps ship! What a true leader he wasn't!!!

Not initially. The Wing plant is very good at what it does, but I can imagine with Airbus being part owned by Germany and France and UK not owning a share any longer, long term they may want to bring that work back to the continent if they have a say in it. But just a guess on my part.

Rolls Royce who provide most of the engines on the A380's / A330CEO NEO and A350 should still be okay producing there engines down in Derby as that is not quiet easy to replicate. But then again they do have a new testing facility planned for Derby, but was on hold last I recall to see how Britexit panned out.
