No. We can now throw out the terrorists in a day instead of waiting 10 years.
And any immigrant causing trouble will be deported that day.

Except this is utter nonsense of course because it won't happen.

Why do you think this is the case?

The bottom denominator appeals to Deuse: get rid of immigrants.

The sad irony being that no politicians have any plans to do so.

48% of the UK getting something they don't want isn't democracy... Shows how divided this country is.

Actually, that's exactly what democracy is - the will of the majority. The problem comes where the losing side does not consider that the winning side is smart enough to have made the decision for them... which is why my facebook looks like a lot of spoilt kids complaining that they didn't get their way.

But yes it does show how divided the country is and that perhaps we weren't ready for such a black and white decision without any alternatives or plans being in place.

It's in the EU's interest to make the break as brutal and unfavourable for Britain as possible, to discourage further defections. Going to be an interesting few years :(

One thing I'm not seeing is those on the losing side of the referendum calling foul play. Wonder if that would have been true if a small amount of the non-voters had voted and swung the poll the other way.

Construction companies have taken huge hits, 60%-70% plunges in some cases and the Asians are moving money to safe heavens like never before.

The housing bubble has now officially burst in the South.

Not sure if this is a daft question, but;
if its gonna take 5 years or so to actually leave, wouldn't/shouldn't there be a confirmation referendum nearer the time just to be sure?
I mean, a lot 'can' change in 5 years whe push comes to shove.
Chirswt, i've seen people sit on the fence, and/or change their minds to VOTE IN in the last day, then declare the end of days when the result was published.

All the GTX 1080's just went up in price if no one noticed.. guess Britain markets are pretty unstable, ill wait for this to blow over was going to order now, not gonna pay £50 more due to a vote and uncertainty...

That's a nice analogy to explain Carney's statement this morning that we should expect stagnation from now on. Uncertainty means people putting off all sorts of decisions.

That's what angry lefty protectors do. Boo, throw stuff and hit people from bicycles.

Bunka nailed it above. The UK markets are looking a helluva lot better than some elsewhere.

You have to remember the risk of this has already been factored in to the markets before the referendum for months now. If we voted to remain, we would be doing a LOT better on the financial/currency markets.
