Lot of bigoted snobs on here buthurt it seems. :)

I agree with that article written by Owen Jones. We are in a pickle but it is a pickle we should not have been in had Cameron done his job and we got anything at all out of those negotiations with Germany *cough* sorry i meant the EU.

I guess he doesn't want a second referendum now. :p

It does make me laugh that the BoE have had to release £250 billion to stabilise the economy/markets which is what , about 25+ years of EU membership net contributions?

The difference between Argentina and Spain is that we're not going to be begging on our hands and knees for a deal that lets us get the same terms to trade with Argentina. I don't think we'll give up Gibraltar (I wish I could spell that without the spellchecker) but I think a shared-sovereignty deal is on the cards now we've chosen economic insanity and are going to have to go begging to the EU with a veto option from Spain.

Why would we be the ones begging? We're running a trade deficit with the EU, tariffs would do them more harm than us at this point.

No. We can now throw out the terrorists in a day instead of waiting 10 years.
And any immigrant causing trouble will be deported that day.

Life's looking better

We're still bound by the Human Rights Act and the ECHR. You're not going to get the magical unicorn that you wanted.

Farage will be in the new government! He deserves it!

He's the best politician of the last 30 years. Single-handedly he has altered the course of British history!!

Personally I think long term after we have renegotiated trade deals with the EU, similar to Norway and Switzerland have things wont be that different. The down side is that to do that we, like Norway and Switzerland will have to adopt a significant amount of EU laws. We simply wont have any say in how those laws have been put together.

Short term though its a disaster and its going to take years to get back to where we were yesterday.

Good Friday Agreement in tatters, Spain is already rattling the cage over sovereignty of Gibraltar and can I assume at some point can shut its borders.

Complete mess imho, and I expect that at some point in the near future I will be forced at best to put on hold employing more staff and at worst start laying people off.

All the GTX 1080's just went up in price if no one noticed.. guess Britain markets are pretty unstable, ill wait for this to blow over was going to order now, not gonna pay £50 more due to a vote and uncertainty...

Throwing out people will not Solve the problem we have in this country, it's far deeper then that.

"It literally fell of a cliff" No it didn't :D.

As far as I'm aware the pound wasn't balancing on a cliff somewhere and just happened to fall off today.

Don't think my company will remain in the UK, but at least people are happy they got rid of big Dave, right?? :(

Gibraltar overwhelmingly rejected shared sovereignty with Spain in a referendum just over a decade ago. Since then Spain has been antagonistic to Gibraltar. Why would they suddenly want to join Spain with who they have so little in common?

There's unlikely to be a referendum anyway due to the strategic importance of Gibraltar.

They also voted overwhelmingly to remain. And now Spain are going to really pile on the pressure they've been gradually increasing for years:

:(

Brother who is currently on short term assignment in Singapore literally saw the market dropping during trading. Knew from what he saw but mostly confirmed his employer a German Bank will possibly be moving a lot of roles from London to Frankfurt now.

I think this risk is really over played. Its all based on the assumption that Britain will lose its banking passport with the euro, but even if we don't get one as part of our renegotiation, the regulatory equivalence program that is about to come into effect (non-Brexit dependant), will mean most financial services can continue as normal.

So a small amount of jobs might move, but not a large number. London has way more advantages than being part of the EU alone.

To everyone who voted LEAVE, thank you! You've also helped push David Cameron out, a horrible evil man who with help by his minions tried to kill many disabled people and the poor

You're thinking of the DWP and its outsourced contractors (Atos and Capita). I don't think any sensible person can blame Cameron for their cruelty.

I never thought the day would come when I'd be sad to hear Cameron's resignation speech, but here we are. His successor will be a lot worse than him.

I dont mind the fact we voted leave (I didnt)

its just that we have now given power to Michael Gove...that to me, is not something worthy of celebration

Of course they did. Almost everything will likely go up in price, at least in the short term.

This thread is so salty.

The most vocal remain are now claiming it's the end of the world.

The most vocal leave are saying we left and it's the reason it's sunny.

I'm just happy I'm on holiday next week.

Not really being salty are we, you can im sure, alteast understand some of us are angry as a lot of people are immediately affected. Im sure it will calm down soon
