£ is down, stocks in the company i work for (large uk bank) down 25%

dark days... that's what happens when you let the unemployed and retired vote :D

The bottom denominator appeals to Deuse: get rid of immigrants.

The sad irony being that no politicians have any plans to do so.

Well that's not true. Whatever my thoughts on him snake farage is technically a politician.

He has no authority, but he would still get rid of them if he could.

One thing I'm not seeing is those on the losing side of the referendum calling foul play. Wonder if that would have been true if a small amount of the non-voters had voted and swung the poll the other way.

Could you imagine Farage accepting a <3% remain vote? Not a chance.

Let's see what happens next, higher petrol prices I suspect. Both sides will come up with why that will happen! Blame blame blame.
Andi.

I read this morning that the price of brent crude had dropped 5%+ back to february levels, so short term we should get slightly cheaper fuel.

You have to remember the risk of this has already been factored in to the markets before the referendum for months now. If we voted to remain, we would be doing a LOT better on the financial/currency markets.

Not "whole heartedly" though from what I've seen and heard. Early in the evening things were looking up, followed by some dramatic slides throughout the night as the outcome became clearer. I think the markets really didn't expect a leave, but priced in only a small probability.

So no reason to think they'll leave? Gotcha.

Look, if Gibraltar calls a referendum on union with Spain, then it's time to worry about it. Right now I see an EU collapse as an equally likely outcome.

lols if there is a referendum on a union with Spain the people of Gibraltar will vote pretty much the way they did yesterday to stay in the EU. The only way I can see that going to Spain is if they take it by force and I dont think im exaggerating there, not one bit lol

the worst thing is not the exit, it is the fact the country is divided 50 / 50 down the middle that will pan out nicely

"i told you so" will be the quote of the decade

We are free to fly round Europe with little hindrance

At the moment anyway. German law states that it only allows dual nationals from another EU country or at the express permission of the German Gov. So German law will either have to change or I'll need to seek permission to keep my German passport.

Some posts on Facebook are just hilarious this morning

Considering leave was 'Project Hate', the remain side are pretty full of hate themselves this morning :D

I think a lot of vote leave voters are in for a shock. I quote someone from my wattsapp group

So you should be. about time no nonsense campaign sort out all these problems were having, policing needs a lot of that 350million also. kick arse with all the wrong people weather white or black and reward the people who want a fair system... because there is still a lot of hard working people out there..that are all wanting the same thing a decent quality of life.and let's face it our police system needs a change....because the isn't one at the moment.

I think this post answers a lot of questions on why Britain voted leave. This a is a genuine post from someone I know, is a builder.
