Britain has been officially removed from Euro Truck Simulator

After the results of yesterday's referendum Britain has officially asked to be removed from Euro Truck Simulator. Since the announcements SCS Software, the developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 quickly issued a patch a day 1 patch, denying virtual European truckers access to the country.

In a statement from the SCS Software the game's lead designer, James Oak, said that the company believed that it would be "dishonest to the game's subject matter" to keeping Britain, a country that is now leaving the EU, inside the European cargo haulage simulator.

James Oak later stated that the company did plan to include Britain in a new iteration of the game that is currently under the working title "British" Truck Simulator, with plans to bring VR support to the series as well as improved "rain physics" and enhanced "Left hand Drive" mechanics.

LOL

And a pointless card not worth bothering with, ocuk have only bought about 1000 as they see the potential the sell them as atractive door stops:D

Exactly they could be high end dustbusters :-) put a bag on the end it's perfect :) don't worry about the power supply that you have to carry arround with you !!

Hmm honestly the whole brexit thing could cause the RX 480 to end up being almost as expensive as a used GTX 980 Ti.

It's just a typical kneejerk reaction by the markets. Markets are kinda like this thread, manic-depressive :p

It should all be back to normal in no time.

Maybe British are a bit self centered (I'm british) to think that they could affect europe's economy... it's a fools game.

Found this on reddit someone got RX 480 card.

Fan 2197 RPM seem very high, probably noisy when power draw went up to 112.8W.

112W on a stress test, this is what I wanted to see !!! 100w gaming (and less rpm of course) this is pretty good ! Hell I run furmark on my fury X it makes a racket !! but not while gaming. But it's not so much db that is important but db(A) are and small fans always worry me.

This is one of those repeated-until-fact AMD fan rumours just like "AMD will benefit on PC from consoles having their hardware". Haven't seen it yet.

Probably because the console ports were still DX11. All of the DX12 ports seem to benefit them greatly. Forza apex for example where the 290 vanilla is faster than the 970. And a lot of those DX12 ports are coming in the future especially from microsoft and their xbox play anywhere thing. Games will be coded for GCN and ported with not so much of an effort and Nvidia have their work cut out here
