** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

I think some people don't realise this, they think you're upping prices to capitalise whereas you're doing it to maintain any kind of margin or protect a loss.

I would be very surprised if a company as big as OCUK and with as much exposure to exchange rate, does not buy a forward rate of any kind, it should be longer before an exchange rate dip actually bites

my company was much smaller and only about a third of our stock was in dollars, but even we did, giving us a couple of months to talk to customers to adjust pricing... our turnover on dollars would have been a tiny fraction of what OCUK's must be.

Why is it so hard to supply stock?

Stock is coming in the thousands, sales are even greater. NVIDIA did not expect demand to be above Maxwell, yet it is quite considerably higher, so guess it caught them out.

However some real good volumes arriving now on 1070 and 1080 should see big number in next week or two as well.

We now have several custom cards in stock on both 1080 and 1070! :)

I know, it's disappointing - most queries regarding the SC seem to be met with silence. Can't quite understand why others seem to have plenty of stock. I'm pretty sure that OC's have only received one batch of 50 units three weeks ago and nothing more since.

we were told there would be high volume for the SC this week now seems like it may be next week (again)...not overclockers fault!... getting bored of the same line every form evga every week, has any1 recieved an EVGA SC card in the last 2/3 weeks? i only remember one batch of 50 about 3 weeks ago and heard nothing about them since

All Gaming X orders cleared!

Switch right now this second and you will have one tomorrow, we have 10pc Gaming X 1080 in FREE stock but they will sell crazy fast!

Awesome news! Although I've still not had an email or any change on the "My orders" page. I hope this is just a normal delay.

It's 'funny' how Brexit makes the original 1080 prices seem like a bargain now.
Thought it was good value at the time at £590 for the SC. My budget was around £600 but would have gone higher for the FTW but decided against it as it was going to be a bit of a tight fit in my case due to the extra board height - my current 770 SC fits with about 2 inches of clearance for the power cables so there's no way an FTW would have fit comfortably.

By the time evga gets stock out in numbers the 1080 |TI will be looming :p

EVGA is not alone in that regard. Some of the MSI models have been forgotten (MSI Aero). It's disappeared from some of the competitor stores altogether as they don't list it anymore. Gibbo has been silent about that one as well.

To cancel or not to cancel? That's the question.

im 127th lol, if there hasnt been anything shipped then i cant see how any1 will get a card this week  after being told there would be high volume this week LOL

I don't think we were ever told that? I was informed 50 SC's last week, and possibly another 50 this week, so I'm looking at next week for a card. Like I said my card has increased by £40 since I ordered it, it's £30 cheaper than that MSI, has an extra years warranty and faster clocks. My 290x can tide my over for another fortnight or so!

no im fairly sure it was 50 last week and much higher volume this week, cant find the post but im sure its there. not particularly fussed about cost or warranty to be honest just want a card..... the rx480 is out tomorow and original preorders like us still waiting for the 1080 thats crazy it was launched a month ago haha!!! and sounds like could be another week or two or three yet. im not prepared to switch because this card suits my new build well so im kinda stuck and frustrated, come on evga ship these cards so we can stop hasseling the nice people at OCUK :p

As I've said before, as someone with a freesync monitor this works in my favour nicely. Could crossfire 2 480's if it gets near 1080 performance (given the price)

I thought this would be useful for people (updated 27/06/16):

When I ordered my Asus Strix 1080 on 31st May it had this Title

Asus GeForce GTX 1080 DirectCU III Strix Gaming Aura RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card

but the clock specs were

Core Clock: 1784MHz
Boost Clock: 1936MHz

Now this has changed with a new OC card with the above clock specs and the card with the above title now has the same clock as the FE. So which card did I pre order?

This ^^ im in the same position .. are we going to get the OC version?
