Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

Massively underwhelming. Needs a 100MHz OC to match a 390X in most cases. So 3rd party cards are going to need to be 1500+ to be worth it.

4 gb is pretty good minus the cooler, so now comes the real question when we are going to get custom boards any info about that ? Seems with better cooler 4 gb can be right card for 1080

I said I would be disappointed if it wasn't at least on par with the 390X and I am disappointed indeed.

Seems solid but hoped the reference was a bit higher. Still excellent value and features. The reference cooler is very basic so still want to see an AIB model meeting closer or more often to 980 performance.

Seems alright to me, i'd pick one up if it wasn't for the stock cooler, so that's the only reason i'm holding off.

Why do people seem so concerned with power consumption/draw fwiw have i missed something other than having a capable power supply in this regard?

If you take the 480 as it is and compare to a 380x its very good performance and the 4gb card is very well priced :D

I may get on 8gb one to replace my R9 290 while I wait for vega . . . . wonder how much ill get for that :|

I'm getting a 404 on the 480 page.

The OCUK hamsters have officially gone on strike.

LOL I genuinely feed bad for humbug, he was so invested in this card!

The good news is that his GTX 970 is more powerful. :D
