Brexit thread - what happens next

Leadsom and May look likely to be two candidates to be the next PM. My money is on Leadsom. She is extremely talented.

So you want a woman who has all her money in off shore trusts and her business in trusts for her children and is against same sex marriages.

Yeah, she seems like a perfect Tory leader to me.........:)

She is totally against any access to the single market and has publicly stated that we are a big enough country to not need to trade with the EU.

So yeah, she is the perfect leave voter leader as some of her views are more extreme than Farage!

And for those reasons I suspect the Tory party won't elect her. Sadly though she is front runner to be Chancellor.

I'll be delighted if I am proven wrong :)

Gilly, out of interest, we are all aware of the pound situation currently, and obviously a long term depressed pound will lead to price rises on this site, and pretty much everywhere else.
Has the company any generalised projections of potential loss of revenue due to the depressed pound?
Also correct me if I am wrong, but is the company now under a German parent company? Will EU exit have potential issues regarding ownership?

The questions are a bit of an aside, but they are fully related to this brexit thread and its actual implications.

Marching is fine but several UKIP supporters on here have never mentioned marching. They have said the streets will be swimming with blood.

I'm not saying your lying but how many? How do you know they are UKIP supporters, ive kept up with these threads mostly but could have missed them one's, i have seen it mentioned once, but the poster did not threaten to do that himself or herself.

I do expect their to be protests, which will clash and possibly turn violent, but that is not something i want to see, we have already seen some nasty stuff posted on here from protests last week, they were remain protesters though.

I've not seen anything from the leave vote side yet, protest wise etc.

If you mean overclockers then I'm afraid I can't help you. I'm very much involved in the running of the forum but have no ties at all with the company :)

That said the growth Ocuk has experienced isn't stopping any time soon. Business is currently good, from what I've seen.

Why are they marching ? democracy won.

Why did leavers march when the current government was pro eu? Its the right in any democracy that you are allowed to march and protest.

Or was last week's vote a vote for the removal of democracy?

Us leave campaigners don't need to protest because we won.

Again, you won an advisory referendum, If DC has invoked A50 the day after like he promised then yeah,, we wouldnt be having this discussion.

As it is we might leave in 2017 or we might not. That's politics for you.

Because apparently, by their logic once something has been decided it can never be changed... although that would mean that we could never leave the EU of course :p

I think it's disgusting that we've had a second referendum. What about the democratic rights of those that voted first time around?

I know it's not legally binding. But, I doubt very much if article 50 won't be invoked.

I know right, we decided that slavery was A-OK and then they go and reverse it? Throwing their toys out of the pram, bunch of snowfl.... :D
