As in a van ramp?
Yeah, we are going to pick up a new bike tomorrow and need a ramp to get it onto the van.

Scaffold board with some small screw-in brackets to hold it in place?
Thoughts on SV replacement? It must do 5 miles to work the rest is fun rides. Bikes I like that don't have silly insurance :
Aprillia SL1000
Suzuki TL1000S or R
Early GSXR600 (by early I mean early 2000s)
Sensible option: Yamaha FZ6

Must handle a 5 mile commute. So... pretty much any bike ever made then
What's your budget? As it's an SV650 replacement, I would think you're looking for 100-140bhp? Another V-twin?
What bike is it? I'm on the throttle stop in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th most of the timemore power needed I think!
Another tuono up for sale near me, if i wasn't after a factory model I'd be right on this, it's not in mint condition but it's cheap as hell, that's a lot of bike for £3.5k! 2007 Tuono
The AP rearsets are nearly £300 to buy, an Ohlins rear shock is another couple of hundred.
You seen the chicken strips on the front tyre???![]()
Mine ain't that much smaller, and I have zero strips on the rear tyre! Unless you go braking hard into corner front strips are hard to get rid of.
Well yeah I mean I don't want to be faffing with a choke or 10 minute start up procedure![]()
I want to spend less than 3k, 2.5k really unless I find a stunner. What I want is something faster than the SV with sporty suspension from the start, no upgrading or whatever. If I could I would pick a random japanese sports bike but anything with a full fairing gives me comical insurance quotes (except the GSXR-600), yet fast half-faired are much more reasonable.
A lot of the fast commuter bikes according to the internet have great engines but naff suspension, the thing I hated about the SV was diving to the floor under braking.
The TL1000 and SL1000 both have decent suspension (if the TL1000 has had it's rear shock already changed) with a half fairing which seems difficult to find elsewhere! I might be missing something similar though.
