84 Confirmed dead after another apparent terrorism attack in Nice, France,

Bit of a daft question but why do authorise only manage to uncover and arrest suspects related to these things after it takes place? Can't imagine there was much to go on from the HGV like a list of accomplices on the seat next to him.

In any case, RIP and hope our world wakes up and does something better than change Facebook photos to French flags.

Think of the things you have immediately to hand when you leave your home. They will no doubt reveal your identity, possible items include; divers license, bank/credit cards, other ID such as work ID card, travel pass, dental or doctors appointment cards. Then a major source of information is mobile phone, call records, text messages, social media ID and accounts, email. Photographs from the phone/social media can also be used to trace associates who are not named in any way.

From just your wallet and phone your whole social and family circle is revealed. If you have a criminal record known associates maybe listed, you may have been mentioned in investigations you never knew of. All these pieces of information can be used to trace people who may have links to what you did, had you been part of any crime.

None of the people taken for questioning maybe immediately or ever presumed to be suspects/accomplices but the information gained helps build up a picture to to find those who are/could be.

Whenever there is a terrorist attack, bombing etc I just look at the names of the person who's done it and 95% of the time it's either a mustaf or something. Very rare to see a john or a tom involved :p

Sad though, all those children too :( RIP

Often they'll have people who are suspects and on watch lists but don't have the legal authority to act.
You can't jump and arrest someone who hasn't committed a crime yet. When authorities do try and preempt things they just get shot down by the left for stepping on civil liberties and infringing human rights.

It's a very very narrow tight rope and it's often impossible to walk it.

The US terror watchlist has 1.9m people on it.

What premptive action do you suggest against 1.9m people?

I see this wonderful none racist country of ours now have people on Facebook saying that every Muslim should be rounded up and shot......just on the safe side... :(

Brexiteers, give yourselves a pat on the back! The Leave campaign's Project Fear is paying dividends right now.

Liberals give yourself a pat on the back, you opened the doors to multiculturalism and now we're reaping the benefits

When did this supposed agenda of multiculturalism not exist?

You will have to go quite far back in order to claim some of these homegrown and older immigrants wouldn't have been in this country.

A 1997 cutoff doesn't stop a lot of these terrorist attacks.

Also what proportion of these do you actually think are muslims?

In this case France and Tunisia are countries historically linked.

It's got nothing to do with it I'm just pointing out a sharp rise in immigration which is linked to multiculturalism.

... of being able to casually blame everything on the darkies and poles, apparently.

I've never blamed the Poles for anything, the Poles are friends of the UK and tend to fit in quite well. I'm not sure why it's ok to put words into peoples mouths and mention skin colour, typical popular leftie tactic though, dismiss and demonise the opposition - tell me how that tactic went in the referendum again?

Lefties lefties lefties, the go to excuse when you can't blame a foreigner. It's like listening to a broken record.

It's all just cheap deflection to try and hide the deeper opinion that would be so readily shot down were it aired explicitly.
