German train 'axe attack'

So you think the actions of the west have not contributed in some way then? I don't see that post apportioning total blame - do you?

Do you not think there is a problem with the way the west has behaved?
Do you not think there is a problem with how inflexible and intolerant Islam in several parts of their main texts?
Do you not think there is a problem with excessive media coverage and how it can bring people around to doing things because they've seen other people do them?
Etc etc

To flippantly throw this at the West's door is stupid - to throw it all at Islam's door is equally stupid. Do deny that both of those things have a major part to play in driving such people is also stupid.

Afghanistan was screwed over by the Russian and the Taliban long before "the west" (but you mean the US/UK right) got there , but you don't hear about afghan refugees doing this sort of thing in Russia ? I'm sure if it was a problem there they would clamp down on it hard.

So should we have invaded pakistan?

Or instead should we have a done a surgical strike in Afghanistan likenwe did for pakistan

They captured bin Laden years after invading and then put him in the compound under the charge of the Pakistan army/iSI. Insiders job on the killing of him too done with careful co-operation.

According to a Pulitzer prize winning journalist who looked into the matter, bin Laden was drugged up, incontinent and a mentally handicapped man.

Russia wouldn't tolerate a large refugee influx and if they ever did there would be strict provisions related to their stay.

I believe we should have either stayed out of thier buisness over there or turned the place to glass but its in no way the wests fault that the "people" over there following islam deem women a lower class [problems in germany] and think nothing of killing many people

Do you not think there is a problem with how inflexible and intolerant Islam in several parts of their main text

Without a doubt

No i dont, isnt there just as much media coverage everytime a non muslimCarries out a mass terror attack in the name of his sky pixie or is it just that it rarely happens

Etc etc

This is true but again to draw a parallel bin Laden was once a US acolyte in whatever position that may have been; jihadist, terrorist, commander, CIA operative, middle man or whatever.

Its reported there were repeated chances to get him in the 90's and all turned down. Its a strange situation in that the US will be friends with someone so quickly but make them out to be the epitome of evil so quickly

What are you talking about? He became the epitome of evil when he plotted the 9/11 attacks that killed 3,000 people. It's pretty straight forward stuff.

Quite the opersite if the wiki is to be beleved

"According to an April 2007 report, individuals from Afghanistan constitute the largest number of asylum seekers in Russia. According to Vladimir Rucheikov, head of asylum issues in the Citizenship Department of the Federal Migration Service of Russia, Afghanis make up over 70% of all submitted applications"

Then again Russian is quite a large land mass lol

I'm not arguing against that. I agree 100%. At the risk of getting into my views of having questions of 9/11, bin Laden did not come out immediately to say he had planned it.

He headed up a former Government anti-communist programme and ran it in a great many ways - with the unequivocal support of the US government. He even had a press piece done on him in the 80's by the NYT iirc.

I would think the Guardian as per their usual agenda will try and give this as little coverage as possible, refer to him by his age as an indentifier rather than his immigration status or religious behaviour, hide the coverage in small text below other newsworthy events (eg anti rightwing rhetoric), not use pictures if at all possible on the main home page etc.

Reminds me of a Blackadder quote:

Blackadder: I remember Massingbird's most famous case - the Case of the Bloody Knife. A man was found next to a murdered body. He had the knife in his hand, thirteen witnesses had seen him stab the victim and when the police arrived he said 'I'm glad I killed the *******.' Massingbird not only got him off, he got him knighted in the New Year's Honours list, and the relatives of the victim had to pay to get the blood washed out of his jacket.

Precisely why we need to start making a concerted effort to undo the damage done by the past few decades of Western interventionist foreign policy. It's been an absolute disaster for the Middle East, and it's increasingly an absolute disaster for Europe, and it's going to take years if not decades to fix.

Neither Thailand nor Nigerian have been involved in the Middle East and both are victims of ongoing Islamic terror. Even if we have no involvement with the Middle East for a hundred years, we'll still have Muslims slaughtering people in the streets.

The founder of Islam was a warrior and since its inception they have been waging holy war on everyone they could. They have been the enemy of European civilizations for more than a millennia.

It was going to be very obvious his religion though. This considering Islamic related terror attacks make up 95%+ of all terror related deaths.

Agreed although we do have a number of members who think that these attacks are " jumping to conclusions " as a terror attack.

Except the US supplied the Taliban and their precursors. Hell even Rambo went there and helped and praised them!
