Looks just like a bikini to me, same amount of flesh is being covered so what's the problem? Would you prefer women to be wearing burkas?
Really don't see how they are any different apart from one being safe to wear in water without risking exposing yourself. If it's just sun bathing, what's the fuss?
Judging by the comments I would be in the wrong to sunbathe in my boxers but perfectly acceptable wearing budgie smugglers!

I wouldn't care if people were walking around naked in the high street. Their nakedness doesn't do any harm, so I have no rational reason to care and I don't care.
Dont really like tanning myself but no problem with others doing it..Undies are fine, seen much worse in most parks..
but its not really correct that undies are pretty much the same as swimwear. Swimwear, being designed to be worn in public, has a number of safety features to protect modesty. If i lie down on the floor in the boxers im wearing now, my meat and veg are fully visible to anyone down wind of me, not so with swim shorts and their netting.

Not a problem. That peach coloured number in the daily mail link looks like a bikini to me. I'd just assume those doing it in their bra are opportunists that's all

I would not have a problem with sunbathing in undies unless the person [bird] in question was a fogbeast that would be just wrong

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't let my GF lay in a park with some agent provocateur gear on, but a boggo thicker than a bikini with thicker than string straps bra I wouldn't care less.

Aye nothing quite like seeing something bursting out of its clothes like a busted sofa, all set over a bent chasis to make you want to rinse your eyes with bleach.
As to sunbathing in a bra, I see no issue in a park, as i would see no issue with topless sunbathing in a park either.
A guy in muddy boxers, not so much, but no one would bat an eyelid at a guy with his shirt off in the sun in a park.
