**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

That's a bit odd, sounds like something is not seated right, might be worth swapping the sim trays see if you get the same result. I would also not use an adapter either if it get's stuck your screwed basically.

When bought mine I too looked at honorbuy and top one as the best two choices. The price was practically identical to me at the time. What you lose in duty tax you pay in shipping. Much of a muchness.

looking to buy a Chinese phone for about £150-£200, i'm on GiffGaff which uses O2. I like the look of the Redmi note 3/4 but that would be giving up 4G. The p9000 elephone looks like it may fit my bill but i was interested if there was a phone i was overlooking for the same for of price?

Having trouble with my wife's new redmi note 3 pro. It works perfectly using the nano sim card in the nan card slot.

But want to use a SD card in it too, so put the sim in an adaptor to move it over to the other sim card slot, wth the SD card in place. It keeps losing signal constantly coming and going sometimes a couple of seconds apart, sometime up to 10-15 seconds. But it also doesn't seem to recognise the SD card is in there.

My phone is set up exactly the same and is working perfectly. Both phones are on the same software version too.

Anyone got any ideas?

Also she only got 3 hours screen on time yesterday over a single day. Whereas i'm normally getting between 6-8 hours over 2-3 days.

Think i'm going to have to either reset it, or reinstall the global ROM.

Yeah i don't like it, but didn't want to order a new sim until we were happy the phone worked. As we wouldn't be able to throw it back into her old phone

It updated this morning mate and they say it will get updates every Friday until the full global rom comes out. Everything works as it should and some nice new touches in MIUI 8 and the best thing is you don't need an unlocked boot loader to install it. If your still on MIUI 7 as far as I am aware they have stopped updating this to concentrate on 8.

It is a 1.2GB download so I can't really say, but everything I had before was still there after the update, including my wall paper my theme and all my apps.

Best place to get the redmi note 3 pro from currently? Going to grab one for myself today i think, the smart ultra 6 needs a holiday!

Also, the other half needs a phone with similar spec/price as the note 3 pro, but with a 5" screen rather than 5.5"...recommendations?

....and runs 4g on O2. ;)

Redmi 3 (non note version). Runs the same bands as the note

Cheers guys, I'll place that order later today.

Now, about that one for the o/h?
She's adamant that it's gotta be no more than 5 and she's on Gifgaff so does that narrow the choice for her?
