Shots Fired in Munich Shopping Centre

excellent posts as always robocod

the real questions we need to ask are how to 1) stop people becoming so disenfranchised, 2) get people back who already are

Humbling and refreshing praise for this forum, I thank you good sir. Unless my sarcasm meter is broken and you think I'm just talking tripe of course! :p

Either way, your questions are on point and to answer them you'd need to ask someone much more knowledgeable than I. However, I'm going to take a punt on education, job creation and investment in local communities to start. We also need better mental health support to identify and rectify.

One thing I believe is a certain: labelling religion as the sole problem, labelling swathes of people, applying bias and judgement, being intolerable and blinkered is absolutely not the way to overcome the fundamental problems. If you're that way inclined then you're either a some what foolish person at best. At worst, you are enemy.

Given the way this news story has progressed we've gone off topic now so I'll save my waffle for a relevant thread another time.

I always remember how 'car joyriding' started in this country.
Trevor McDonald did a news special report back in the 80s about the new craze happening in Belfast where kids were breaking into cars, driving them around and burning them. I just looked at Mrs Sexy and said "WTF" and lo & behold we started to have our own problem.

It is a big jump going from nicking a car for a joyride to kill loads of people and myself also.

Shirley?

Very sad and difficult to prevent

Impossible to prevent, I have some mental health issues, if I was to totally lose control nothing is stopping me from driving my car into a crowd of people.

Why does it seem hard to find out what religion this scum followed?

Probably none that's why? Or was this some kind of joke I missed?

Then there's the issue of some preventative procedures and measures enabling other incidents to develop without intervention. Take the pilot who crashed his plane into a mountain: the way the cabin was locked and accessed was reviewed and improved after widely publicised hijackings to prevent a terrorist getting in and taking control of the plane; this however let the pilot carry out his actions. Which incident is more likely? Does this stay static over time? And a country, let alone the world, isn't as simple as running an airline.

Why probably, can't he have a religion? I agree it could be none, he could be atheist, try finding out, i can't.

Or does the now apparent far right nutter = no need to talk about religion?

The guy was a loner, I doubt he divulged much to anyone. You're focusing on the wrong bloody thing again though Arazi, as always.

Why am i?

If we listened to you lot then there wouldn't be 5 people in custody over the Nice attack, all the usual posts, not a Muslim, a loner, a nutter, eats pork, drinks booze, planned it all himself etc all came from the same posters on here for the first 48 hours, the proof is in the thread.

Like i said, is there any info out there of if he followed any religion, or didn't follow any, or isn't it relevant anymore?

This looks like it was a German-Iranian national. So extremely unlikely to be IS (or even have religious motivations) inspired and nothing to do with recent immigration.
